There's only two clubs who are affected.

Sorry, a bit on the dozy side here, for some reason I was equating pitch side with down the side. My only excuse is some new tablets I am on.<laugh>

'Could' is an operative word in the article. A simple solution would be to clear a row in a lower west, and call it an away disabled area and we'd get the same exemption as Man U.

Maybe another 3 if Wednesday, Villa and Newcastle get promoted? Something which wouldn't be a bad bet.

Good ruling and hope it is adhered to.
Why should away fans not be near the action and help create a better atmos.

It isn't a ruling, so there's nothing to adhere to yet.

Presumably the Prem need to ask fans about it first.

Shoving fans out of the way only decreases the atmos.
Youve only got to look at Spain to see that.

As it only effects 2 clubs at the moment one of which will get an exemption it is hardly likely to make a jot of difference. The away fans at pitch side at the KC must lead to the crackling atmosphere, acknowledged everywhere as so much better than Sunderland, Wednesday, Villa and Newcastle where they aren't.

Perhaps. It rather depends on where they're shoved to. I can think of a few grounds where pitch side is a very poor view.

That's by the by, the point I was making is that it's not in place, it's simply being considered. If the Prem are true to their claims, they'll be asking fans for views first.

That is more to do with the way they have always watched football. However there are plenty of grounds where there is a great atmosphere there. There aren't many away fans at most Spanish games anyway for various reasons

The new rules call for an ongoing dialogue between fans and owners, they're not a requirement for clubs to run everything they do by the fans first.

So when acting as the Prem they can introduce rules without consultation, but individual clubs are expected to keep fans fully informed.

Or perhaps, there's a bit more to it. :emoticon-0105-wink:
