I'd love him to go to you, i genuinely think he'd do a great job for you. If he didn't have the history that he did then he would of been mentioned all season on how good he was, our win percentage without him....0% If he didn't used to be such a **** then he would of been back in the England team, call me biased but i watch him every week. He created a ridiculous amount of chances and he actually scored more and assisted more than Modric did. Give him the ball and he'll put it on Chamakh's head.

Not 'arrogance', This is opinion. I personally think he's a scumbag and I'm perfectly entitled to say so.

Sounds arrogant to me, both from Ince and this poster.

Actually, he would be in competition with Song, Frimpong, Ramsey and Wilshere.

Paul Ince is full of ****.

United have better Defenders and probably strikers than us.

However we have a better midfield. We create more chances, pass more accurately and get more goals from midfield. Arsenal have the best midfield in the league.

Dont think Barton's the player you need, personally. Wages arent the problem for you even though he's on 55-60k p/w but IMO you need a "steely" defensive mdifielder, which Barton isnt, he's a creative CM who would be incredibly limited by playing a defensive role. He's not going to play ahead of Wilshere, Fabregas or Nasri in an attacking/creative position and isnt the sort of player who could play Song's position.

In your opinion. However RVP, Song, Fabregas, vermaelen might disagree along with quite a few Arsenal fans I should think.

    Interesting point <ok>

I wouldn't rule out taking Baton because of his history, but I think we may already have a better, younger version of Barton in Jack Wilshere.

I've never placed a bet in my life, but I actually signed up with Sky bet just to place a bet on Barton going to Arsenal. I think he would fit your team well to be honest.

11-4, thought it was pretty good odds considering.

Spurs won't be able to afford his wages I don't think, he left newcastle because they wanted to drop his wages so I think you lot can offer him more.

He is free, that must have grapped Wenger's attention in a second.

I can only presume that crystal ball of yours is covered in **** - or that you don't have one and you're just full of **** anyway?

    Cym <ok>

After coming out of Jail TA seemed genuinely sorry for what he did made a real effort to change his ways. I maybe wrong, but I can't see Barton ever doing the same!

Barton could also get into the Man U team. If there was one position that Manure are desperate to cover, that is the CM creative spot. For crying out loud, you are still playing Scoles and Giggs in that position, talk about desperation. Also please don't say they are any better than Barton as they are clearly past their best before and made to look better because of the players around them.

As for Arsenal, he would be a good signing and someone i would use a lot in Premiership/FA cup games, as we will inevitably get injuries. I will be proved right once he comes to say Spurs and do a very good job for them.

I think Joey Barton would actually be a very good buy for us.

He knows the English league, is technically better than Song, he can shoot and he can pass and he has some steel.

Those questioning his temperament need only look at the rough treatment he got last season and rarely - if ever - reacted. The man did the crime and did the time, I would have absolutely no problem with Joey Barton coming to Arsenal. I'd prefer Scott Parker though if I had to choose, but is Parker really over his injury problems, I mean, we have a few sick notes as it is !

I loved his short punch into the Blackburn players mid riff ... quality !!!
