Also lets not forget Reading had an unbelievable second two thirds of the season. The last 18 games they won 14 lost 2 drew 2. Pretty crazy. They fully deserved to win imo. Even though we had the better squad.

McCarthy for £2M is fine, especially considering the way the market is at the moment. Obviously the club wouldn't feel Gazza was up to being deputy if it went through, he must be due a loan deal... back to the Gills perhaps?

Well it's hard to convey but I have tried using all sorts of silly smiley faces and stuff but alas I am not 15 years old and just don't really get it.

The De Ridder comment "single handedly" was mocking my own complaint about Danny Fox "single handedly" which is of course ridiculous because De Ridder never did anything "single handedly" although I reserve the right to never accept it isn't all Danny Fox's fault I was deprived of the "winners" word against some sort of professional league.

 

I don't get this whole Gazza situation, he's never in contention to be our number one and the last 3 managers we've had don't really rate him good enough to be our number 2 either. Whys he still here? He's good enough to be a number one for a lower end PL club or top of the championship or just move abroad, I'd just ask to leave and get regular games. I don't understand goalkeepers sometimes.

You could not be further from the truth. Adkins rated him very highly. And Poch used him a fair bit whilst he was here. Koeman did not think he was ready although there coaching staff still believe in him which is why he wants to stay here. He is still only 24. At the same age Forster was going nowhere with various loans from Newcastle. Expect Gazza to come good over the next two seasons but until he displaces Forster the fans who have rarely seen him play over the last year or two will not be convinced.

He's not gone on out on loan though , you dont gain experience by sitting on the bench, he needs game time
