Stuart Green has just signed a two year deal at Conference North side Workington: http://www.whitehavennews.co.uk/stu...-workington-reds-1.862573?referrerPath=2.1679 He's still 30, he's got to be better than that?
Yes. wasted his career somewhat. surely another league 2 club would have gone in for him ? Swindon Town for example looking to bounch straight back up.
Either way, its a good signing for them and he will do well there you would have thought. For him to be on trial at a league one club, even if he did fail for him to move to them shows they must have a little bit of money, and at least he is playing week in, week out. Was never his biggest fan, his attitude got to me a lot.
Remember him scoring a blinding goal in a LDV game ( i think) could have been against Morecambe, had talent but never really did it above League One level.
Liked him at the club (barring Cralislegate) and thought he was a useful player for us, instrumental in our first promotion. Career seems to have faded away after leaving us, shame really.
Eh? Anyway, Green's probably my all time "Top Tiger", nothing better than a centre midfielder who can pass the ball about. Gutted when he left, shame he's ended up there, he's far better than Conference North.
I really liked Stuart Green too, he was certainly a wasted talent, in his prime I think he could have made a lot better of himself than us.
Oh what a surprise - one unprofessional dummy spitter who has an over inflated opinion of his own ability sticks up for another one. Stuart Green was and always will be an absolute cock. All the players at City at the time hated him, I spent the day with them all on the first prmotion open top bus tour so I got a pretty good insight into the dynamics of that team.
