http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ges-ahead-of-the-201617-premier-league-season The penalty kick one may prove interesting
The yellow card for taking off your top should be scrapped. At the most just send the player off until the next throw in or play stoppage.
I can see some refs applying and others not knowing There is too many changes Rule 7 Among several minor changes to the laws regarding penalties, potentially the most interesting is the amendment to yellow card a penalty taker who "illegally feints" once his run-up is complete. This means slowing to a stop immediately before shooting is not allowed, with a yellow card and an indirect free-kick to the opposition the result. The law does stress feinting during a run-up is still permitted. In my view it should be all fients not as you are about to kick the ball. It's going to be fun
Why aren't feints allowed? It's a ridiculous rule if you ask me. If a player is one on one with the keeper, he's allowed to feint, but not if it's a penalty?... it's just red tape arsefaced arsehole arselicking arsebandits who come up with this ****.
CHANGE 2: Pre-match red cards That's Lee Cattermole off during the warm up for looking at Andre Marriner then
Agreed and stuck - anyone has objections to it being stuck, let me know. See I read the penalty rule like this "If you play for one of the sky 4 clubs, then you won't be sent off for committing a foul, if you play for an also-ran like Bournemouth, Leicester, Sunderland, Burnley (etc.) then, whether you meant it or not, you'll be sent off." Will be interesting to see as it's once again put in the hands of the referee who has to deem whether a player tried to get the ball or meant to foul the player.
They can change as many rules as they like but you can't get beyond blind and incapable referees and their side kicks. This is the issue that is spoiling most games.
When a penalty taker feints I think he is increasing his likelihood of missing personally, more likely to make a right hash of it, particularly if he feints when he's just about to strike the ball. Gonna be a hard one to judge for the ref. At what exact point is a feint allowed then isnt? Bit of a grey area if you ask me. Rule that I would like to see changed is a free kick is awarded when a player obviously obstructs a player when sheparding the ball out. Anywhere else on the pitch results in a free kick. An automatic red card for a shirt pull. No grey area as far as im concerned. Blatant cheating.
We don't have many stickies at the moment so shouldn't cause too much of an inconvenience. I can't remember a time when so many rule changes were put in place at once.
My thoughts exactly this will be open to "intepretation" (or corruption if you prefer) of the individual ref
I agree with that rule TBH - it's if you get to the ball and fake your shot - the feint in the run up is allowed but to get to the ball and stop to wait for the keeper to move and put it in the other corner (unless you're Jeff Whitley!) is cheating IMO. Being one v one with the keeper in open play is nothing like taking a penalty - if you're one v one the keeper can be anywhere he likes in his box - if you're kicking it at him from 12 yards, he has to be on his line and can't move off it until the ball is kicked. I personally detest the "faking" of a free kick then whinging to the ref that the wall moves - think that should carry the same punishment
There's only one rule that needs changed, and that's the rule that the ref can have a look at an instant video replay if he can't make a call on a decision. ****ing hell the chinese have 5G ready to roll out already, there's no reason the ref can't have a quick look on a 6 inch screen that would weigh about 30g and he'd be able to wear it on his wrist, hey, it could even have a stop watch on. Can't change? No... won't change! cos football is governed by ****ty arsed dickheads in flappy suits. Nothing else needs to change, it's bollocks bollocks bollocks.
Some interesting ones, be nice to see how brave the refs are for booking or sending players off or contesting decisions at the big clubs. can you imagine Rooney being sent off at Old Trafford for arguing with the ref and calling him a name? be hell on in the ground but i would laugh my bollocks off if it happened. (using Rooney and Manure as an example)
So by the same token do you think the Goalkeepers should be banned from feinting movement? They do it every penalty.
I'd go further. I'd let an eye in the sky ref the entire games and use the refs to pass on the decisions only.
Good idea - along with players moving outside box when penalty kick taken & stewards running behind the goal as the kick is taken all to distract - infact quiet in the crowd aswell On rethink - no no no no... Bri I really think basics are in place & these changes will cause more confusion. More commonsense from referee is the only change required
