Brown's a waste of a jersey in my esteemed Protestant opinion, and so is Armstrong. Not sure what it is about Dundee United, but both him and GMS have the upper body strength of a 13 year old child in remission. We are missing that spark in the middle of the park too, a player like Petrov. Brown is box to box but in a completely ineffectual way. I also said the other week that Ambrose has seen something within the confines of Celtic Park. Whether it's Pistol getting a rusty trombone from Dermot, or something else, it doesn't matter. I agree with Brown, he's finished as a player ... If he’s stays, as club captain, then he needs used in SPFL only … and not every game. Armstrong and McGregor will do in SPFL. Need Rodgers to give Henderson, Allan and Rogic more game time (in pre-season) to see what they bring. There’s talk about Henderson going out on loan again! I’d rather have him in team than Armstrong or McGregor – he was class for Hibs last season. The squad is good enough for SPFL but that about it. Agree – Ambrose obviously has pictures of Dermott leaving Lawwell face like a plaster’s radio! I HOPE that, if we get through this tie, Rodgers gets at least 2 of his identified targets in before play off. Then if we make it into Champions League groups stages, he gets to sign at least another 2.
We undoubtedly need a complete overhaul. Unfortunately Rodgers was brought late to the party and had a massive squad to try and make his mind up about within the space of a few weeks. Lennon must go.
Absolutely agree, my rotund friend. In terms of SPFL quality, the squad is perfect, but with the horrible odious scum back, we really need to be making our mark in Europe and to do so means at least 2 or 3 more decent signings who will also lay the marker down domestically. Brown is awful. Slow, poor passer, he only really gets a game because he's got a bit of grit and wears the armband. Would love to see Rogic, Allan, and Henderson get some serious game time. FTP
