Kanu plays a good Euro and it's a one off, Allen has a good Euro and he's the second coming ......It took a while but Wales have finally put together a good team . A team that plays well together with a few stars and journeyman players..Most European countries could come up with a reasonable 2nd team , that's not the case with Wales. Leading up to Euros most on here dismissed Wales making any impact in the completion , a lot saying they wouldn't win a game .I said Wales had a good chance to pull off something special before the first whistle and I was right . Now Allen played very well with a team he knows well at Euro . He played ok with Liverpool with limited minutes , but with a team with a strong supporting cast . We will see how he plays with Stoke when he's thrust into a first team role with players he doesn't know and not nearly the supporting cast as Liverpool can muster .
I'd take him as a back up striker but knowing us, he'll cost at least £10 million and he'll be our main striker. Agree £5 million tops.
I'd be happy if we sign a player like Bony then have Kanu or Ulloa as our 2nd striker but I won't hold my breath.
Don't want either of them but if I had to make a choice I'd rather have Ulloa as he seems more of a genuine front man.
If we can keep Ayew , it doesn't matter as much to me what comes through the door in the way of a striker as long as somebody comes ..he probably won't play that much anyway . If Ayew goes , we need a major striker signing .
Maybe our wishes will come true; We understand Swansea are hoping to bring two new strikers into the club, having already sold Alberto Paloschi and with Bafetimbi Gomis also on the verge of departing. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-leicester-striker-leonardo-ulloa-sky-sources
At this time i will take any striker as its better than nothing the way we are but i would not give them a long term contract until we see how they do for us... I dont think Bony is on the cards with Jenkins or we would know by now and as for Ayew he will be gone by the week end imo.
10m for a poor 30 year old, are we ****ing mad, I didn't rate paloschi but would have kept him before signing Ulloa, I am convinced these yanks are going to **** us guys.
Conte the Chelsea manager has said we need patience in this crazy transfer market and perhaps we fans should listen to him. Having said that like many mine is becoming stretched.
Well we shouldn't have been so quick to sell all our Strikers before getting a single replacement close to signing.
Ulloa : 970 minutes last season , 6 goals and 2 assists in the equivalent of 10 full games . Season before : 2400 minutes , 11 goals and 3 assists in the equivalent of 25 full games and was a big part of Leicester staying up late . A bit of credit where credit is due . It's a crazy money market this " Windfall " Premier League season , To me this would be an ok signing . We're not Chelsea or a Manchester team sitting on millions .
We cant blame the yanks YET... Jenkins has been left in control for the time being which i can understand....I do hope they change him with dealings of players we need in the future though.
Everyone wanted Gomis gone and he wasn't playing ....wages wasted. Eder wasn't playing at all , why keep him ....wages wasted . Paloschi .....Totally puzzled why he left .2 goals in 7 starts wasn't anything to write home about , butBony only scored 2 goals in his first 9 . If Paloschi was cut instead of wanting to leave ....it was a mistake IMO ...and a stupid one if we had no one on the horizon ... which makes me think he asked to leave.
