    In the wake of Pep Guadiola's decision to ban "fat" footballers from first team training perhaps we could put our heads together to come up with a "Fats" 11.

    I'll nominate Big Sam for the manager's position and have identified four possible starters. For those with long memories, the youthful Tony Adams could qualify alongside Paul McGrath. As for strikers Portsmouth have two candidates, John "Lager" Durnin and Mick Quinn.

    when they came to us in the league cup last year, they were collectively the fattest team I have ever seen at St Mary's.
    Gabby Ablonlahor could be singled out for special praise.
    No wonder they were relegated.

    Agreed. It's a bit of shame Matt thickened out a bit because that's the impression people are left with. Look at his videos upto around 1995/96 and he's still slim enough. Anything before 1992 and he's still a string bean.
