If we sign him possibly is one for the future, can't see him playing with the grown - ups this season...

Must be one for the future, disappointing after seeing Praet, and Tielemans names being suggested.

 

Maybe he is one for a couple of years, adding quality to our pipeline. ..

 

We've got enough young players. Unless this guy is going to be amazing there seems no logic to this.

I got very excited seeing Tielemans name there.

Oh well. Nothing wrong with stocking up some quality for the future though.

He could actually be our new pacy CB, particularly if Gardos is out.

Part of me would have liked us to sign an established attacking central player to add goals HOWEVER my overwhelming feeling is that a Davis type possesion player in that role is key to the way we play (or at least used to play) and I'm more than happy with him as our main option there this season. Factor in my desire to see more game time in that role for JWP and the fact that I think Clasie could easily also play the role and a young, promising player to add immediate depth and possible future star quality is OK by me.

IMO we will still need an xfator starter to provide the goal threat we've lost but I'm comfortable with that not being an attacking central midfielder.

 

Why would we need/want him?

 

We definitely still need an attacking player of some description. Tadic will almost certainly go off the boil at some point and Redmond is still raw. We need another player in the Tadic mould IMO. Ideally with European experience.

 

Impsy,you been out in the sun too long? The other day Fox cost us the title against Reading,now De Ridder won us runners up against Reading both single handed. I'm sure Guly helped a bit!
