We all have a drink that made us sick when we got falling over drunk for the first time when we were teenagers. Mine's whiskey. Just the smell has me going.

Whisky was mine too but I persevered and I didn't know about Malt Whisky as a lad.

 

Personally I don't drink. I just watch Dele Alli's goal against Palace on a loop until I'm off my face.

 

Whiskey was mine, too. Bells. I still hate the stuff.

However, like Spurf, in my adulthood, I discovered the pleasures of pure malts.

 

Well spotted PNP that was the key to my remark. I have removed the offending e. Never wise to take an e with your whisky anyway.

 

I have family just down the road from Bushmills, which I love. Otherwise it's Armagnac or Calvados for me.

We desperately missed Carrick imo.
In his final season we were fighting for 4th all season.
The following year we were 12th or 13th until February...it was a great end of season that got us 5th but we were never in the running for top 4.
We only bought Zakora to replace Carrick and imho we were weaker without Carrick and with zakora... as much as I liked zakora he was not a patch on Carrick.
Berbatov was needed regardless of Carrick as mido was being pushed out the door.
It's true that we made a lot on Carrick but in my opinion him forcing his way out seriously affected the team.

Can't disagree really Ramos debacle...I am still embarrassed that my club treated Jol so poorly.

 

My drink to not go near is dark rum. Had the worst hangover of my life and a few stills in my memory of a very poor pirate impression. Shudder.

A more recent one is Ameretto. Foolishly had a couple of them after a big night out and all I could taste for the next day was Ameretto. Yuk.
