Yes Nick I have seen him play live and I thought to myself how little he reminded me of Moussa. He is a poacher and a good buy. It is a shame that all the rest of our decent players have gone or are going. Texeire is the latest one, he is going out on loan. I am sure Lookman will follow. We need six good quality players. But I am certain that will not happen.
Slade must realise that he's not going to get the 5 or 6 players he wants. He must recognise the nature of his employers, he should have checked them out in the first place like Wilder did. It doesn't cut any ice if he carries on trying to do an impossible job on Roland's terms, which will result in the sack at some point. Then he'll just be another bitter ex-employee. I usually go to the Welling game and the "big" team game. But that was Charlton, now it's Roland Athletic and I can only envisage a downward spiral. The way that Cousins transfer was greeted by other players points to an unhappy squad, and Slade seems to have come face to face with the reality of his situation, which we all knew anyway. The protests just seem to encourage our CEO to play the victim card, so until Roland sells up I will be an occasional visitor at away games.
Will not be watching any Charlton game this Season except the U18s and U21s. Will not be renewing my Valley Gold membership which I have done with a heavy heart as I became a member when it started.
