Anybody watching this now? Kicked off at 8pm showing on ESPN Marseille lead after 11 mins N'Koulou scored with a left footed curling volley from the edge of the area. Marseille have a full strength team out while United have Smalling and Jones at centre back, Evra at left back, Cleverley in the middle with Welbeck and Park up front from the squad. They also have Barthez in net and David Ginola on the bench!! The rest of the team is made up from Marseille youth players.
2-0 to Marseille after 34 minutes. Awful defending to be honest from Smalling and Mansouri allows Jordan Ayew to dally into the box and slot past Barthez.
2-1. Instant reply. Cleverley slots the ball through to Welbeck who shoots first time from the left hand side on the edge of the box past the keeper.
I think they are a few Marseille reserves who they have given to us. Not very impressive I must admit. United players aren't really busting a gut though but these other lads are. The bench is the same. Made up of Marseille players and some fat guy.
2-2. 38 mins. This game has kicked into life. Welbeck returns the favour for Cleverley in near enough the same position. Good one-two on the edge of the box puts Cleverley through who finshed well past Marseille's number 1.
Barthez up to his usual tricks. He can't help himself. Trying to take people on but he was never that good at it. He just tried to dink the ball over an oncoming striker but it just hit him and nearly went in!
Half time 2-2. Defence looking a bit rusty to be honest. Evra is too keen getting forward and not tracking back. All for fitness though. Welbeck and Cleverley look quite impressive. Especially when linking up together. I believe both could well start on Sunday. Especially Cleverley.
Second half has just started and some subs have been made. Not sure who yet. Anyway 2-3 to Marseille straight from kick off. Corner was whipped in and headed out by Welbeck I believe. Benoit Cheyrou brought it down on the edge of the box and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner. Barthez has been replaced.
Anderson has come on. Park has just come off for Traore. Not Djimi though! With that after 60 mins it's 2-4 to Marseille. Smalling and Jones have both come off and their presence is missed. Corner comes in and subsitute Alou Diarra rises highest and puts a header into the bottom corner.
2-5. Jordan Ayew gets his second. Comical defending from these Marseille youth players. Ball come in from the left, a defender tried to stick a leg out but just deflected it into the path of Ayew who blasted in from close range unattended.
A fat Ginola comes off after 20 minutes and is replaced by some French pop star Matt Pokora...playing for Manchester United.
2-6 Marseille. 70 mins. Turning into an embarrassment now. A long ball comes over from the top. Remy is one on one with the defender, beats him for pace and puts the ball into the bottom corner.
Didn't really notice this but Paul Pogba come on at half time to play in the middle. Has been a passenger against Cheyrou and Diarra.
