It was mentioned on sky sports news this morning. The same reporter (at the stadium) that mentioned we had a shortlist of 5, and that Warnock and Evans weren't on it.
It does seem odd! Ehab probably fancies the job! I was watching 'the five year plan' again the other day so now I've got visions of Ehab sitting in the stands telling Martinez which players to bring on!
Doubt we will have a "head coach" However most clubs using a head coach have a technical director/director of football. Could help keep Ehab from football matters
Personally I like the idea of a head coach with a technical director of football, with that person not being Ehab of course. I like what Everton have done with Koeman and Shakespeare (or maybe its Walsh?). Let the head coach get on with deciding tactics etc. with the technical director taking on the equally if not more important job of recruitment, a la Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Its doubly important for a team like City a small fish in a big pond to be able to recruit talent on the cheap and sell it later at a profit before the use date. Bruce much as I liked him (and did not want him to go) was not the best of recruiters, but, seemed a great man manager.
I don't know but Martinez likes to play football so Ehab will employ a dof who prefers long ball. Then Martinez will get the chop because he carnt get 11 long ball merchants to play like barca
He's favourite still 11/10 I think he was. Just looks like somebody has stuck a wedge on SB, which seems strange. Where did he go after he left?
Certainly could be something in it. All ems have eluded to speaking to others when Bruce was interviewed for England, highly likely to have a target lined up. Not like big betting companies to fully suspend bets unless either they know something or betting patterns shift
