I would be happy if we sold Aquilani and the money was reinvested in a centre back ie Gary Cahill. That would selling from a position of strength to improve a position of weakness and would therefore be excellent business. If only we could find a buyer for Joe Cole and Poulsen, we would have the funds for a left back.

 

Alberto Aquilani’s agent, Franco Zavaglia, has been talking again and says the Liverpool midfielder could join AC Milan for about €10 million.

“When you speak of such a negotiation, there is always an element of truth," he told ilsussidiario.net. "[Milan vice-president Adriano] Galliani is now in China for the Italian Super Cup, but I expect to talk to him when he comes back to Milan. I think an agreement could be reached for a figure around €10 million."

two things:
A) 10 million euros? havin a laugh.
B) Just don't do it! Keep him! He is brilliant right now and just what we need!!!

 

Pretty sick of all this Aqualani stuff now. His agent is a little knob who is trying to make Liverpool look like complete mug's. If any Italian joker team want's him then pay the money that we want for him or piss off. £10 mil?? yeah right.

 

Translation: Liverpool got a phone call.

There's got to be some grey area between the loss of keeping him on a high wage, how much FSG are ready to lose in selling and how much Kenny would rather keep him. The question is what does the agent know? He's been dealing with the club for some time now and figures must've been bandied about. My worry would be Aqua's the best chance of shifting somebody to make way for what we really need so FSG may have dropped their price.

 

Maybe but if J.W.Henry is to be believed he'd rather keep Aquilani

 

I was thinking of his tweet when I was typing that post out. I almost added something about it but I know it could also have been part of building up the player's *apparent* value to us. I dunno. He's a shrewd guy.

Lets be honest, Aquaman has these ugly beady little eyes that are far too close together, and with Michela Quattrociocche he is batting way above his pay grade, and when the alternative is your classless tart of an English WAG, I support the guy 100% in trying to keep her sweet!
