This David Accam fella looks pretty good! Hearing £5/6m too which would be reasonable! Decent goal record and has more pace than Redmond! 18 goals and 7 assists in 40 games... not bad!

Absolutely fantastic news to have what we hoped for stated in such definite terms. Excellent indeed!

Meanwhile the Skybet odds on McCormack coming to CR have improved to 1/5 and to Villa has now gone out to 16/1. Only a matter of time?

Can't really blame just one person, the whole team failed.

Naismith is the easy target because of how much we spent, but our poor defence was more to blame than him. If he has another poor (full) season with us again then I might start to think he isn't a player for us, but in the mean time I'm willing to hope he come good for us.

By the same token, if he scores 15 this season and we go up I can put that down to the team and I'll have never been wrong about Naismith.

According to the Daily Record, and apparently via BBC, whatever that means, we are going to make a definite £15m offer for McCormack. Serious intent if true, but it can't be as we are broke, well according to some.

Best news of the Transfer Window and if McCormack does cost us £15M, then I guess that's his price!!!
Don't kid yourself if a premier league team bids what we paid for Klose or more he will be gone in a shot.
Luckily for us he was injured during Euro 16 and £9m is quite steep for a guy that just got relegated playing a handful of games.

I think we were all expecting more from Naismith but the real problem was our poor defending, so that's why I think it's a bit harsh to solely blame him. I'm willing to give him a full season before I make up my mind.

I've just checked the records, he played 11 games, some of them when carrying or returning from injury!

Talk about kick a man when he's down! Glad to note your sensible response woodbine! <ok>

To be fair to Naismith, I blame the manager for putting him out there with poor form and suspect fitness. Any player worth there salts is gonna wanna play perhaps even to their detriment. I think as i did before we bought him, that he is a good player and could be very influencial for us. Did we pay too much? Probably, but he can still justify that fee.

Bah!

McCormack is 1.75m tall (5ft 9ins in old money) so he hardly represents the big lone striker which AN seemed to have been favouring last season. If NCFC are intent on spending £15m on him should we assume that AN is going to play a different formation next season? Perhaps 4-4-2 or even, dare I say it, 4-4-3? I can't help but wondering that had Gary Hooper not been sold we would not be looking at McCormack as they seem very similar strikers. Does anybody know if Alex Prichard is still available? Have we got too many mid-field players already?

Naismith will come good.

Ok he ****ed up last year and was maybe a little short on match fitness. I still think he will be an important player next season.
