Yes but that is Njie and he was sent there as more of a wide player I believe as spurs bought Nkoudou from marseille
Anyone for Rashford? With Ibra and Cavani at ManU he won't get a lot of game time but'll be guaranteed a start down here. Gotta be worth a season long loan to get PL experience.
Well, maybe jumping the gun a bit.........but he wants away from PSG with Man U apparently interested
But you don't know who they are targeting, with the exception of a bid for Allen and the guys who have just come in, name me any targets that the club are after? I can only think of that Leicester player with a £7m offer, which is to much
Yes but that means we are holding our cards close to our chest, I expect us to make signings just not the ones we want, and I mean ex players of ours. Just don't think we should be bringing any of them back. We were lucky with Siggy, can't see being the same again. Though Bony would be a better option than Allen for us if we brought anyone back.
Well this is a new player to be linked with us http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...sea-pondering-8million-move-tottenham-8486577 Swansea pondering £8million move for Tottenham midfielder Alex Pritchard
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...sea-fail-to-follow-up-interest-with-firm-bid/ Not even put in a bid. Pathetic. Good luck to Joe.
http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...-this-summer/story-29546135-detail/story.html High time Huw and the board etc just shuts up and signs players. Season starts in just over 2 weeks and we haven't improved the starting 11 and we have no strikers
You are saying good luck to Allen, yet if he wanted to come to the Swans he would have, he knew the interest yet went to Stoke anyway. That would probably mean he wasn't interested in coming here. And in terms of putting in a bid, they (the yanks) have been in charge for 2 days, yet you want them to put in a bid in that time for Allen, can you explain why it's pathetic? For me we can't drop all fiscal policies at the club because some fans want to go back to ex overpriced players of ours.
I would suspect that following the Heads of Terms Agreement and the need to secure FA approval (that the purchasers were "acceptable" to the footballing authorities), there would have been a framework of operation between the existing owners & the prospective owners. As such, transfer policy, for example, could continue (within certain parameters) but would need discussion with the Yanks. As such, if Joe really was on our radar, then I suspect that we could have bid before the formal completion - and most certainly immediately after completion. So with no further bid having been made, either Joe wasn't interested in returning or we weren't above a fee of £8m.
Well it's speculation on that, my thinking is that we were interested in Allen as long as it made sense and was at a level we were happy with, I personally didn't think he was worth the money that was being asked, Stoke coming in with an offer of close to £15m after extras are added was to rich and not worth considering.
My main concern is not Joe Allen but the fact we haven't signed any quality forwards to improve the team but there's still time.
It's obvious now that Jenkins never matched stokes bid and that shows he should never be in charge of bringing players to the club. Joe has to choose the best deal for him and his family and he sees stoke as the best option.....But never mind he will go for players we dont need instead. Just two short weeks away and we still dont have any quality players especially a striker and that is diabolical by the club......We will end up with a nobody in the end who wont have enough time to settle in and we have some very tough games coming up that i dont fancy beating any of them without a really good proven striker...
No it shows that we didn't need him, you are forever spending money Dai, at last count it would be £40m on two strikers, £15m for Allen plus whatever else was needed. So calculating that up it would be close onto £65m minus the money we got for selling players on. I think you should leave transfer policies to people who know what they are doing and that live in the real world!
