Yup, one of the all-time greatest shows, with Arfer Daley and 'er indoors two of the greatest characters in the history of English Literature (after Stan and Hilda, of course).
I was tailoring it to the likely audience given the current time over 'ome . Have to admit, the US version was decent compared to most of the **** they produce. Mind you, I quite liked "Mash".
Has anyone mentioned Prisoner cell block H? Top telly. Lizzie, B and Viniger tits? I wonder if I can get a box set?
My wife would agree - she loves watching all WW2 action series. Not mentioned in the thread 'Allo 'Allo, Brideshead Revisited and The Whitehall Farces starring Brian Rix who was a (near) Hull born lad and is still going today in his nineties. 'Allo 'Allo came to Sydney as a stage show but was a little bit of a disappointment.
It is but has somehow been dulled by all this PC malarkey it doesn't seem as hard hitting these days.
Can't beat Father Ted, we need a few 'down with this sort of thing' banners at the Kcom in weeks to come too
Some great series already listed - three that I'd add are Soap, Brass and Hot Metal. Also Drop the Dead Donkey (but I suspect it's been included somewhere).
