How bad can it get? With the Allams, as astute business men, the sky's the limit!

Losing three or our nil every match, bottom of the league all season. Mass protests from fans, bad atmosphere during matches.
Nothing to cheer about. It's going to be a long miserable season.

I just dont see that happening. The Allams either want to stay and will have to fund a PL team. Or they'll sell. If anyones been reading Obi's posts on CI I think the Yanks werent all they seemed, unfortunately.
Its got to be the right offer, I think they'll sell as soon as they get it. Whatever price they are after and someones willing to pay it.

Obi's a lovely fella, but his posts on this topic have been based on nothing more than his vivid imagination and he's completely wrong.

Depends on how much Phelan can command respect and instill a new tactical plan. If Ranieiri can take "no-hopers" and somehow convert them into champions, then it would seem that attitude & game plan are key components for survival or even progress to 16th. Look at the likes of Maguire - how many starts did he get? Could he be one who feels that a new manager could mean more game time for him. Other fringe players may suddenly feel that now is their chance too. With SB in charge, some players were seemingly in a comfort zone, no matter how poorly they played they were on the team sheet for the next game regardless. Interesting that while the media and fans have been promulgating about being gutted with SBs departure, the players themselves are seemingly more measured and reserved and talk about disappointment. Disappointment could mean anything from feeling sorry for the way it has worked out for SB or it could mean being disappointed that he has left Hull City in the lurch with just three weeks to the opening game of the Premiership - take your pick. Phelan talked about everyone being concerned for SB - what does that mean? concerned for his emotional well-being? concerned over his health in general? or does it mean concerned that he was treading water and beginning to lose the plot? Phelan hasn't abandoned the ship to show his outrage and to demonstrate his solidarity with SB. His interview after the Scunny game was refreshing and suggests that he is seemingly "up for it." and wants the gig. You could also argue that the best pre-season performance so far was the Scunny game. So in essence we have a dispiirited manager who has walked and a caretaker manager who is enthused and players who have not really shown their cards. I believe that a bad start to the season will have fingers pointing, recriminations, and a toxic atmosphere too - the perfect storm to oblivion. If over the next three very crucial weeks, Phelan & the players bring something new to the pitch and start the season with success or at least damage limitation rather than doing a Derby, maybe SB will be quietly forgotten.

I've no idea. Don't know how those that have answered are defining worse.
Is 'worse' meaning the Allams don't sell, we don't appoint a new manager, Grieve doesn't come back, we don't sign any new players? Cos that's the status quo, and that's taking us down, down, deeper and down.
Maybe Allam is learning the hard way that Ehaw is not capable or running the Allam Marine Xmas diddlum let alone HCFC?
Maybe Allam has woken up to the impending disaster that is about to impact him and his interests, and is feverishly planning a solution. The old feller may have many faults: being dumb is not of them. His son looks after that trait.
He may be happy to take potshots at Gergahty and co, the 'hooligan' fans but even he may realise that serious neutral people at a national and international level are now starting to scrutinise his doings, and are not liking what they see.
Does he really want that legacy for his family ? The family name on a national par with Oyston?
