Spend all day reading not 606, CI, Amber Nectar, Hull Daily Mail, BBC Sport, Humberside etc whilst reaching for my blood pressure tablets. Hoping and praying that earlier this week all those sites were hacked simultaneously by some fecker who thought it would be a laugh. Wanting to believe that no-one in their right mind would cripple a football club in the way ours has been. That by miracles a right click instead reveals a squad in the most robust of health, straining at the leash to get into Lester. Bruce and Phelan bristling with menace* like the Mitchell brothers about to get stuck into Dirty Den, the pair of them full of confidence about the season ahead, ready to take each game as it comes, because it's a marathon not a sprint, in a league which is unforgiving. Reading expert opinions of the likes of 'Kammy', 'Merse', 'Robbie' and 'Al' (****read), 'Dicko', looking at bookies odds and quietly scoffing to myself, thinking 'What the **** Do They Know?" they always have us down as relegation favourites anyway? Maybe I won't do any of those and will have to start on the list of jobs that have been put off over the last few weeks/months/seasons. Starting with removing Robertson, Davies and Dawson from my Fantasy Football teams. * I know, I know, it's Sunday morning and I currently have **** all else to do.
Started by reading the above, tea and toast, shower and shave, off to local DIY shopping with "she who must be obeyed" watch cricket and F1... no plans after late afternoon. Cut the grass yesterday.
I dealt with my Sunday morning pretty well by sleeping through it. Would give the cricket a go but I believe it is currently rained off.
I'm working overtime - a mundane task of patching and updating servers. Far more exciting and less painful than reading anything about City.
I've got my guitar out and I'm trying to play 'Little Wing' again. I'm not sure why. It's the hope I suppose. One day it might just click. Dream on Kemps
Review? Wondered what it was like there I just did a few beers outside Country Park, bumped into Askewshair Very pleasant (and the Timothy Taylor's is nice)
Going to scrape the wildlife off the front of my bike after yesterdays tootle around the Yorkshire Wolds.
The setting is better than the food, but it's okay if you play it safe, salads are good and stuff like ham, egg and chips, but the burgers aren't up to much.
I was drinking TT in Railway in Cott last night. Very nice. They've got Staropramen on draught in there too. Bloke behind me got a pint of it, never stopped grumbling for half an hour. Think it was 4 quid a pint
Is that draught as good as it sounds? I've certainly quaffed plenty of the bottled variety but never seen it draught ..... it's a superb brew!
