    His odds have dropped to 4/6 to go to Arsenal, when odds go below evens there is normally something in it....
    Shame for Leicester but it's the nature of the beast I am afraid, saints have been there and bounced back, hopefully for Leicester sake they can as well.

    There was a lot of talk of us being after Chamberlain at the end of last season. Fonte having a word etc

    Mahrez to Arsenal is likely to trigger a departure for one of our former academy players.

    Would be pleased if we got him back

    He's probably pretty livid that their two most saleable players have/are choosing to move on,I wonder if Bridgewater decides to walk,especially now he's had a taste of international football.
    This could be the start of capitulation for them

    Good point. My sole focus on this had been the weakening of Leicester (good outcome for us). I forgot to think about the possibility of Arsenal thereby letting someone go.

    Chamberlain to replace Mane could work.

    It's an interesting transfer window. Lot of big teams paying big money for players in areas they already have depth in. Just because they can.

    Players will need to be moved on at some point as a result though, and probably at a knock down price later in the window. Jenkinson, Debuchy, Darmian, Markovic, Walcott, Oxlade Chamberlain, Benteke, Bony, Zaza, Remy, van Ginkel, Schneiderlin, Herrera etc

    A good window for waiting if you already have a settled, talented squad who just need a couple more hungry international players to give things an edge

    I'd go a step further: £25m would be a bargain, for us or anyone else. He's probably worth £40m in the current environment.

    He's younger, though not that much; a couple years, and both are in their primes. I'd disagree on him being decidedly better, though...that Swansea team a year ago really only had two attacking players of any quality, and he still looked good.
