I'd call him unstable, egocentric, quite possibly sociopathic, and a danger to both The United States and the rest of the world.

God forbid that psychopath ever gets into office, but if the US electorate are actually dumb enough to vote him in, then I think is Presidency would be tempered, because once in office, a lot like our own PM, they are quickly told by their aides how things actually work, which relationships need to be maintained, who is an ally and a foe etc. Some of Trump's more controversial edicts like banning Muslims and building a wall on the US/Mexico border would never happen.

However overall, I think it would be an absolute disaster to have Trump as President, although it would re-cement the US status as having the dumbest voters, after we stole their title after voting to leave the EU and the whole Boris-gate affair.

There are a lot of pissed off people in the world. A lot of people working long hours for low pay, just about getting by but wanting to send a "**** you" message to what they see as the establishment. Though of course you can't get much more establishment than a billionaire NY property tycoon born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

Also, you can never underestimate the monumental ****ing stupidity of the general public; after all, millions of people watch X Factor.

Almost certainly, in the case of Brexit, yes. An ill-considered, uninformed in many cases, decision. But a protest of sorts, yes.

After the US elected the idiot son of Bush, I realised that the voting public there are capable of infinite stupidity. Ok, he probably cheated his way to the first victory, but to elect him a second time was almost beyond belief! But then Bush was a conservative backlash against Clinton.

I fervently hope that the American public will not be so stupid as to elect Trump. I've little doubt that he's highly mentally unstable, a narcissistic egomaniac, who's capable of globe threatening stupidity and brinkmanship.

Where and why I'm concerned is because I don't think people in the UK realise just how far to the right conservative America is. Some of them make Farage look like a socialist!

How far are we really behind America?............... There are lots of english people that are seriously pissed off.
Too much immigration legal and illegal has caused resentment and pushed usually tolerant people over the
    edge.

The extreme right wing of the USA are far more of a threat. Like many extremists, they have 'God on their side!'

The trouble is,is its not just extremists.Normal, decent, hard working people in the US and
Europe are having their tolerance levels pushed too far, hence the protest votes.

Political backlashes are normal. Eventually the public gets tired of the incumbent administration and decides it's time for a change.

Seriously, if you've seen any of Trump's speeches, listened to his laughable 'policies', etc, do you not think he'd be laughed off the stage over here?? I mean Farage couldn't even win a redneck constituency over here, let alone have any chance of being P.M. And Trump is way more extreme than Farage!...

Why the American public appear to be so gullible, I've no idea. It was certainly a very insular place when I lived there. It's probably more open now, but the conservative, God fearing element is still very large over there.

It's what charlatans, hucksters like Trump do. Play on people's fears and tell them everything they want to hear.

His only concern is feeding his planet sized ego by getting himself elected president. He couldn't give a flying **** about the average American citizen. He's treated them with contempt in the past and he'll continue to treat them with contempt if they're stupid enough to elect him.

Well if someone with a brain told THE PEOPLE what they wanted to hear and actually worked on it
the Trumps and Farages of this world wouldn't get a look in.

Sometimes it's a leaders job to tell people what they don't want to hear. That takes real leadership, but for that you need someone with courage and vision. Obama had that. Not many people do.

It's the lack of real leadership that makes people turn, in times of crisis, to extremists who talk a good fight. What America needs, what Britain needs, is a leader with the guts to say "migration is a fact of life, get used to it. But we recognise that people feel threatened and we are going to do something to improve the life prospects of the people who have been left behind in the last 10 years. Immigration, btw, is not the cause of your distress; ruthless employers like Mike Ashley are, and we are going to put him and his type in prison, in the same wing as the bankers snd speculators who ripped us all off".

Btw @armchairblue isn't talking about the views of Trump or the ignorant, extremists who follow him. He's talking about himself, his own views, but doesn't have the courage to say so.

Damn those immigrants and terrorists, it's all their fault eh armchairblue for your sorry life.
