It looks like this coming campaign could well be Wenger's last. How do you folks reckon he will be remembered when he calls it a day? Some will call him a genius of course and some will point (and probably laugh) at his disastrous European record. The man has been on Bayern and Barca's leash for what seems like an eternity now and Arsenal have only been there to make up the numbers in Europe for their entire history. However, will Wenger's domestic record make up for this ? He has won a couple of leagues and FA cup's yes, but at the same time his obsession with fourth place has angered some fans and the severe annual dip in form in April/ March time will do his legacy no favours. Wenger has developed some great talents in his time at Arsenal but he seems content to let them walk straight out the door, usually to Man City and I think we all know how Robin Van Persie will remember Wenger. Will Wenger's lack of ambition when it comes to keeping players hinder how people remember him ? So, how will you remember "le proffesuer" ?
As Arsenal's greatest manager and between 1997 and 2013 second only to Ferguson as the best premier league manager.
Poor WUM attempt SF8, you do need to do better. Arsene Wenger will always be remembered as Arsenal's greatest manager, and 2nd only to SAF as the greatest manager in the PL era, and for his team's playing beautiful football, and for unearthing Henry as well as many other great players who have graced the PL. He has won more trophies during his tenure than Saints will ever win - so did you make this thread out of jealousy or bitterness? I cant remember anything that Saints have ever done or any of their great managers so do enlighten us !
This is a **** wum thread that HIAG would be proud of. Fully expect him to be along soon to endorse, in true wum **** up fashion.
.... I'm obviously with you .... but some are bound to resent us thinking that Claudio Ranieri is already the best manager the Prem has ever seen...
Sincr Wenger arrived at Arsenal in 96. How many managers has your team had? Sunderland 12 (plus 3 caretaker managers). So new one will be no.16
