I'm surprised anyone gives a **** who the manager is at the moment.... although the thought of Roy Keane 'negotiating' with the Allams may at least provide some entertainment. Survived receivership and the coffins, Dolan, Fish, trying to shove us in a 5000 seater stadium, multiple visits to the High Court to avoid being wound up, Bradford taking over the South Stand, being locked out and Lloyd, being 'saved' from non-league football by Doncaster, but this is somehow worse- I'm finally seeing something I hoped for but never really thought would happen - FA Cup Finals, Europe, the Premier League, international footballers turning out for Hull City- only to find that this lifelong dream was actually a fraud all along- just another way of kicking you in the ****ing nuts. It's like being ridiculed for your undying faith as a Christian- Jesus finally turns up after 2000 years only for you to then discover he is a complete cock intent on revenge for being stuck on a cross all that time ago.
What about David Pleat, but if we did escape relegation, I somehow don't think he'd be gambolling across the pitch like a spring lamb these days.
**** me not warnock, anything but mclaren or Brown, bring in some Young manager or a foreign with a different style of Football.
That guy with Tony Warner as his avatar would be delighted with Brown coming back if I'm remembering correctly.
There is some ridiculous speculation in this thread. If they, the Allams do not want to have a transfer budget, they are certainly not going to splash the cash to attract a decent manager. It is more of a poisoned chalice than the England job. No-one but someone very desperate would want it. I just pray that that obese bastard that is Steve Evans doesn't get it
Leaving aside the question of who the hell would take the job with these useless ****wits in charge - the names mentioned so far: I'd like it to be Martinez - his teams try to play football Dyche would be good but sky are in a dreamworld if they think he'd leave Burnley for us - also no chance of Squarehead coming back Moyes would be good but probably going to Sunlan Giggs? No experience but could tempt some young players from Manure Phelan - I hope not - same for Mclaren but I wouldn't be surprised if he got it Evans - **** off
Bernd Schuster, Rene Meulenstein, Jocelyn Gourvennec, Paul Clement, Diego Simeone would be my short list, but we will end up with McLaren, Moyes or Evans
Will there be no budget for a new manager or was it just SB who got no budget from Allam? Not saying there will be any money to spend but who is going to come to us in the state we are in?
