Sunderland AFC confirms the departure of Sam Allardyce, who takes up the position of England manager with immediate effect. The focus of everyone at Sunderland AFC now is on moving forward quickly and decisively, with the appointment of the club’s new manager to be confirmed at the earliest opportunity.
Sky say nowt mentioned about keeping us up. Not bothered he left us we didn't get rid of him onward and upwards Ftm
It's enough Aswell It took the FA three basdard weeks to appoint a man the always wanted They took the Micky big style out of Sunderland and deliberately held us back in our preparations for the forth coming season
I'm puzzled as to why this statement is necessary now. I was led to believe I'd missed the relevant "facts" two days ago by my use of the ignore button. Never mind. Who knows? - who cares - eh?
You had, you caught on later with the Compo. Obviously we've come to a settlement and now it's been finalised therefore made official. What's the point of putting me on ignore if you're just going to read what I post anyway Apart from the last breaking news threads I post of course.
No he should of been sacked But then we would of got no compen But for the sake of 3 million they say we got it was worth getting rid three weeks ago then would be well on our way to pre season stability
not really vince. it will have taken us 3 weeks to line up a replacement, hopefully Moyes, regardless. Might as well get paid the compo while we get our ducks in a row. . the club have done this the right way, for once.
Doesn't work that way mate. As its working out, I'll be happy if Moyes is confirmed over the weekend. That's still time for Moyes to get to work getting new players in. He's got a good reputation on scouting and signings apparently so we may see some developments before the season kicks off. We still have the benefit of what Sam did in January, so we're still in a better position tham we were at the start of last season. Imooc
Good point that I wonder if negative stuff was going on with the Board on the transfer front - were Inter Milan the only ones at fault with the Davide Santon debacle. Maybe there WERE dodgy goings on behind the scenes. Anyway quickly onwards to a new manager
