I'm sure David Cameron said he would continue as PM and implement article50 (good name for some after shave) the day after the referendum.

Also I recall something along the lines of 'vote leave, get Farage,Gove and Johnson'

For me I always took what both sides said as 'options' and not promises.

Read the thread again. I agree it was out of character, but read the thread - it came out of nowhere, then look at his responses. I accept you can't see the one which was deleted, but it was deleted for a reason... You might think he was gentle and gentle he may normally be, but out of nowhere he hurled abuse at me and I responded.

I'm not proud of the argument and I apologise for any offence caused (including to Norkie) for the comments about his wife.

But Gandy, I expected you of all people to be a little more objective. Making false accusations like you did above hardly helps.

Cameron lied yes - that was a stupid comment. But that wasn't as part of the Remain campaign. Like the article 50!

And to be fair to them, that quote is hardly their fault it didn't come true!

Your comment is fair enough, but the trouble with the Leave sides "options" is that they weren't real options. That's where they were lying - they told the public they could achieve things they practically could not. Exactly like the SNP did. Only this time the reality is biting.

I think that the remain camp should have pointed out these 'lies' before the referendum and then the public could have decided.

I don't think that anyone believed that Nigel Farage would become Prime Minister in the event of Brexit..........maybe if we had voted to Remain he would stand a chance
