    2 promotions to the PL, a Cup Final, the Europa League.
    Head and shoulders above all other managers this club has had.
    Most of it done whilst having to manage upstairs as well as on the pitch.

    I totally agree, although a part of me will never forgive him for the way he treated the European campaign. We're likely to never qualify again and he shouldve realised that, and the fact we got relegated anyway just made it even worse.

    He wasn't perfect, but there's no doubting he's our most successful manager ever and he deserved far better than this.

    i've knocked him but he there is no doubting just how great he has been for this club and i am sad to see him go.

    We all knocked him at times,that what fans do but you can't argue with his overall results at Hull City.
    He really did deserve more than the way he was treated by the club. He supported them when they were total idiots and they let him down.

    In my eyes the best manager we have ever had, not perfect but he needs great credit keep our club together, having had the mill stone of the Allams around his neck. Thanks Steve and good luck for the future.

    Not perfect, often frustrating but put up with some right **** and delivered 2 promotions fa cup final Europe and some great memories. Admittedly wanted him out at points in the tail end of last year but would've been happy to have him I. Place all this season. Great city manager, will ne missed

    We have had other good managers who didn't get the financial support. He made us hard to score goals against but not as good attacking. He started off well with the Allams but didn't seem to notice when they had gone off the rails and it's led to this messy ending.
