He's odds on fave to get the vacant Sunderland position back, assuming Allardyce's England appointment is confirmed. Edit - which has now been confirmed as expected. http://www.thefa.com/news/england/2016/jul/sam-allardyce-appointed-england-manager
I can't believe that. I know his issues with the owners, but all seemed sorted. This close to the season. Where now for him? Back to the Championship probably.
Steve Bruce has a history of resigning if he thinks he can get something better. The man has no loyalty whatsoever, and to make things worse, I completed a competition entry yesterday, and one of the questions was 'Who would be the first premier manager to resign or be sacked from September 1st. My shot was Bruce, and the rotten barsteward didn't even have the decency to wait until the 1st September to resign. He has at least cost me one point - Not that I will ever hold a grudge you understand.
Mike Phelan might now get his management opportunity at Hull, which he maybe thought he should have had with us before McNally picked up AN.
I was surprised at the timing and i is almost like it has been done to maximise the impact of his depature on the club which is poor. Must be favourites for the drop before a ball is kicked.
Open letter from Steve Bruce to the Hull City fans http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/stev...sake-of-club/story-29546253-detail/story.html
