Relic missing out on facts again because of the ignore function. Somebody put the man in the picture,.
"The 61-year-old continued to perform his duties as boss of Sunderland, who are understood to remain locked in talks over compensation with the Football Association." From sky they are expecting an anouncement tommorow - refuse to release him from his contract until they meet the price. Plus they need to remember that a player that cost 10mill last week now costs 15mill as we get closer to the deadline
Won't be pretty fella, those who believe how you win is important are going to hate him. Those who don't care how they do it so long as they do win appreciate big Sam. Understanding the limitations of the English pool will go a long way to understanding why England need a manager like Sam.
please log in to view this image Well as the FA has already offered 2m and we turned them down. Good to know the Mag media partner are as all over the shop as per
Yes, that's all I can find anywhere - tomorrow, tomorrow. No facts. It looks to me like he will get the job. I can't see how SAFC can block it. If we did, Sam could never really forgive us. But the fee being discussed (£1m in one paper and £2m in most others) is what Arsenal, Chelsea, and the two Manchester clubs would pay for a promising 16 year-old. It sounds as though the FA would take Sam, but only if he comes on the cheap. It doesn't feel totally right to me. Still, good luck to the man if/when he gets it. He's earned it.
The salary reflects just how much the FA rate Allardyce. Does anyone really believe their first choice, Wenger, would've accepted much less than a loser like Hodgson? They want Allardyce because he's a cheap interim manager and have given him a paltry 2 year deal. As from the first England game that'll be 1 year, so many months and counting ....... very poor.
He should of been sacked we have been hung drawn and quartered by Sam and the FA Compensation offered is crap If what is said is fact
They must have finished their scrambled eggs with salmon and french toast by now. Instead of sitting around drinking coffee and smoking cuban cigars, wish they would just hurry up and formally announce the damn thing. Its gotta be today, shirley.
According to the BBC website Phil Brown says he's interested in the assistant managers job under Sam. They have been mates a long time, don't know how that would sit with the prima donnas he would be coaching.
On Sky Website ALLARDYCE LATEST Here’s an update on Sam Allardyce’s future. Sky sources understand an announcement could be made by the FA today about the appointment of Allardyce as the new England manager. However, negotiations are still ongoing about the amount of compensation Sunderland will receive. If a decision isn’t reached today, we understand Allardyce could find himself in a tricky situation, whereby he has to travel to the South of France this weekend with Sunderland for training. He would be in breach of his contract if he didn’t do so. Make the b**ards wait - our turn now so on the sly ask the new manager (if they know who he is) who he would like in and start negotiations prior to his appointment
He said about 5 minutes after getting promotion that he wasn't sure if he was staying. He's not a mug you know, he'll not be walked over like a Greggs foot wipe mat on a winter's blustery day, although you will often find him there, picking up the bits of dropped sausage roll.
Ooh! I can just see the headlines now......FA go for Bruce in last minute change of plan as he'll cost them nowt fiasco! Sam will end up stopping at Sunderland. Everybodies happy!......except Sam. Dont want Bruce back here though on the sole fact that he's a Geordie!
