Firstly has anyone stayed at or been inside the Hilton garden hotel at the SOL? Now my main point. Whats the best hotel you have ever stayed at? Be in based on quality of the room. Location. Service. Value for money whatever criteria you want. I know several of you have been to Vegas, so expecting some good reports from there. Alternatively, the biggest rip off flea ridden con artist ****holes, that looked nothing like their pictures.
Wynn Las Vegas, hands down winner of the best hotel I've stayed in. Been to some very good ones though, in Mexico, Bangkok. The worst... I've stayed in some **** holes, like rotten B&B's... probably one in the middle of nowhere in southern Poland, all they had on the menu was chicken livers and dumplings and they served spam for breakfast and all the staff were constantly pissed. There was nowt for miles.
The suite I was in The year I was there, 2011 I think, it had the best clubs on the strip. The restaurants and bars were incredible, the casino was really lively, and it had it's own Ferrari dealership which has since gone. Seriously though the rooms were sick. Centara Grand in Bangkok was very nice as well, the sky bar there is amazing.
We have been in two hotels that I can think off that were poor gash is probably a better word. Skiathos 2001 room size of a small garage no air con rusty fittings in bathroom and filthy room cleaned maybe twice in a fortnight. Zante 1999 tiny room rats nawing through the ceiling Although been to some good holiday hotels. Including the one we were in last fortnight in Zante On the beach clean good location great staff not qualify but a great place and will return.
Comm's Tripadvisor thread Sticky mattress, dead body in the bath. Room set on fire. 7/10 would have been better but the woman at the bar had a beard.
I've been lucky enough to stay in some fantastic hotels around the World over the years. Had a suite at the Bellagio in Vegas, that was pretty cool tbf. You even get access to a private lift that the normal riff raff can't access. My favourite was the Plaza in NYC though, purely for the entire history and ambience of the place. Worst, some flea pit in Turkey that I've tried to blot out.
4 I think, it should have been 1. 2 ****ing weeks as well, complete with 3 young kids at the time. Nightmare.
They always advertise their hotels as 4/5 stars, there's no 3 stars hotels in the whole of Turkey They must get awarded stars based on how greasy their staff are.
Bloody hell mate she jumped out of bed and demanded a change of hotel. We actually got a change of resort We call that our two centre holiday
Visited a hotel in the back arsed end of nowhere in Saudi as part of our indction day when I started over there. It hadn't had a guest in nearly a year. It was fully staffed as well. The taps, plugs, toilet roll holder, everything! was solid gold. It was built as a palace for a local prince who didn't like it so they turned it into a hotel in the middle of nowhere.
