Gylfi is too important for us to sell, at any price. This is the first true test of the owners. If they're serious, Gylfi will stay. If they want to use us as a cash cow, they'll sell him if a bid is put in.
what part of that post made you assume that I thought that the rumour was a surprise? Your verbal reasoning is really poor I must say.
There maybe some legs in this one. I did expect Siggy to go this summer after the season he just had for both club and international teams. For me I think we should hold out for at least £30M that then will allow us to bring in a marquee striker singing. I also think we have a suitable replacement already in our ranks with Ayew.
I also feared this, which is why I suggested signing Bony and Joe or at least players of their quality to keep him here.
This one could get ugly .. " New Owners vs New Owners " with both wanting to show their grit to their new fans . Like I've said recently holding onto players is as important , if not more , than getting new ones . What could make this ugly is the sudden impact of monies available suddenly from TV money . Nice to know that , ultimately, the worse case scenario involves us getting 25 + million for a academy player ( Davies ) if you follow the trail .
I think Allen is likely but Bony is going to Everton IMO Siggy will be a big loss but with Ayew in our ranks we have a suitable replacement already. I'd rather see Ayew go but the money is going to be hard to turn down for a club of our size
That's why it is imperative that we go all out to sign a quality striker. I'd go for Remy And Mario Gomez
Siggy having to ride the bench at Tottenham will still be fresh on his mind and could be a huge plus . At least he knows he doesn't know what our bench feels like . With their new owners , manager and money Everton could go hog wild and become the new Tottenham with respect to quality and quantity of players brought in
I'd feel confident if this was our line up at the start of the season Fabianski Naughton, Fernández, Ash, Kingsley Cork, Allen Barrow, Ayew, Montero Gomez Subs Birighitti Fer Ki Taylor Amat Routlage Dyer Remy
With Barkley looking to go to City Siggy would definitely be first choice. TBH I'd put Siggy ahead of Barkley
That's all possibility true but it's still food for thought for Siggy .He knows 100% he will be first pencilled in with us and let's face it , he had a horrible expierence at Tottenham.....bless them ...lol
But if Ayew replaces Gylfi, then we need 3 strikers. Gylfi goes and we will be in big, big trouble, especially with the current strength of the squad. Gylfi is vital for us. We cannot lose him.
