Well happy with the much needed take over that is now official and that's it now as there is nothing we can do about it but see what they can do to improve the club. They will obviously need time to implicate change but i see exciting times ahead for the future of the club....

I'm happy if they not loading debt on the club like the Glazers did with Utd. But there are 3 things that we need to know

    1) funds for player acquisitions
    2) the purchase of the Liberty stadium
    3) expansion of the stadium

'commercial initiatives' will be a key focus? I stated months ago that we are badly under developed in this regard, and it is likely to be a key focus of the Yanks, and so it proves to be......... <ok>

One thing about yanks is the acumen in the commercial side of things they seem to have, it's a huge failing we have. That is where the money is for them I think, our commercial side of things should be outstripping the TV money just like the big clubs. If we can get up there with that then the club will do well

I agree, but without a side in the PL they will be knackered, I am worried that they will invest nothing more in the squad than we would have before the take over.

I said that right at the beginning of this, that would be no surprise for me.

It is what it is so we have to wait and see how it pans out in due course. The benefits will not be there immediately apart from maybe securing some transfer targets. As has been mentioned I would expect a significant improvement in the commercial side of things over the next 12 months. I am quietly confident.

Doesn't that worry you a little, I just think this is a plaything for them and they know with the extra TV money they cant lose. The proposed take over wasn't announced until we had secured the magic 40 points. So they guaranteed their money back. I cant help it but I have a very bad feeling about these guys.

Of course it worries me, I've likened them to the Glazers because these kind of investors seem to be the same kind of people. One major difference is that they are not putting debt onto the club to finance their buying it. That makes a huge difference, just look at the way Cardiff was bought

I have no reason as why am so worried about this, Nothing I heard in their interview made me think, this lot will take the club forward, which was the point of looking for so called investors. Yes they may sort the commercial side of things out, but whats the point of that if we have a ****e side. I will have to wait and see how this unfolds.

After the press conference I too am quietly confident, they would not have done the deal unless Huw had stayed on as chairman, and for me that says a lot, they are looking to bring some expertise to our commercial depth, which is way under developed. ............ <ok>

    Couple of thoughts .
The amount of time the new owner said " Huw " was fuking embarrassing , seriously .
How the % suddenly got to 68 % to me means there are things going on about the takeover we know nothing about .I think we will find out at a later date that the new owners have captured a further 7% of voting rights before the old owners could " Cash In " . Also , although it's being reported that the deal was 100 to 110 million , The new owner didn't want to talk about the amount it took to secure the new 68% figure .
I think there is a " Wait and See " policy in place toward transfers .we will try to hold onto our players and bring in a few but how we look going into the January window will dictate the amount of money that will be spent this season .I did like the little dig at Cardiff when asked about foreign ownership and Jason said " We will probably not be changing the club colours " ... Classic .
Finally the Trust .As soon as the supporters trust question came up , Jason almost broke his neck turning to the right to watch Huw start the " Prepared Front " It was pre determined that Huw would start off .
When it got to the new owner , he said the new owners talked to and made themselves available too the trust a half dozen times over the " Past few Weeks "
It spoke volumes to how the trust was kept in the dark by both new and old owners over the past year and both Huw and Jason looked the most nervous during the whole interview during this question .....and they should be nervous IMO .......the sneakiness that Huw has built of late , continues it seems

I disagree on the trust opinion, this was a transaction of shareholders, though we may not like it, this had nothing to do with the trust or its members. It's the same as with any other company, they don't have to disclose anything!

This though a football club is still a Ltd company and they have acted within the remit of someone buying a controlling interest in a company. They also said that the selling shareholders are going to reinvest some back in, so it will probably go back to about 60% when done.

I'm of the mind like Dai that we should disband the trust as its served its purpose, the shares should be bought directly by people who wish to invest in the club, the profit of selling would then be invested into buying the stadium and expansion. This way money is paid into the club, the ones investing will then profit directly in the club.

I have just watched that video of the conference and my can that guy bullshit. Said the things I thought he would say, how great the city is, how great the club are and how great the fans are. I still like the fact that HJ is still calling them investors when they still haven't invested anything, they have purchased a part of the club.

So he's saying the same thing as football players and managers do when they come here, he may be giving the spiel on what we want to hear, but actions speak louder than words, let's see what step they take next.

Yes he is saying the same bullshit as everyone gives, maybe it was naive of me but thought there might be a little content in there. The only tricky question given to him and he lets HJ answered. Totally uninspiring. But you are right lets see what actions they complete.
