Ive heard a lot of Shepherd bashing over the coast of today and I'd just like to say what I ultimatley think about it without going into fine detail and endless knit-picking and discussion.

Shepherd reign = Champions League, Premier League challenge, countless Cup runs inc. 2 FA Cup finals and European Semi/Qtrs Finals, Class Players to be proud of, Investment in the team, Built a 50,000 seater stadium, Top 20 of footballs richest clubs (turnover), 5 years of Sir Bob (ended badly on his part), Got caught by the NOTW (bit embarrassing), some bad decisions regarding managers, £150million pounds in debt.

Ashley reign = Mid Table mediocrity, Relegation from the Premier League, No cup runs to speak of, Any players to proud of being sold at will, No investment in the team, Falling out of top 20 richest football clubs (turnover), 5 mins of KK (ended ridiculously badly), Total endless relentless barage of horrendous decisions after another, dragged the club to brand new lows, NUFC a national joke, Fans disillusion has never been so high and optimism has never been so low, £250 million in debt.

I know which reign I prefer. (and I was never a fan of the man....)

(and before all u Ashley lovers get on replying, is what we have all gone through and continue to go through, really worth just not paying interest to the banks...? Really...?)

Can you not have just added this to that other **** article you posted? Also Ashleys debt is in part Shepherds fault, albeit through lack of due diligence but it doesn't hide the fact that the majority of the debt was via Shepherd another lot of it was via the relegation we suffered due to some of these so called "Class Players to be proud of" that you mentioned. Getting bored of the floods of **** that are being posted as a result of the fall out between Barton and the board.

Both had their faults end of. For me Shepherd was better but that say more about Ashley than him, and that is very debatable.

Ive read more times than I can remember thanks. Not gonna go into huge details and debate. But NUFC wud not have died with £150mil of debt. Plus their is an issue of, if MA hadnt come...someone else might have. Plus also, has LUFC gone out of business...? Will MUFC...? Will any top football club...? No, they wont.

Just wont happen. Look at Portsmouth. They are exactly huge, still going.

Lets say MA never came along. We sell all our best players, possibly training ground, sell naming rights to stadium, get relegated................is that hugely different to what happened under him..?!?! Its a joke. Beyond a joke.

    PEOPLE STILL BACK HIM........Mental

oh, my bad. It all worked out so swimmingly with Leeds didnt it?

so having read that, you acknowledge that FS was running an unsustainable business model, which would have had us go into administration and lose all our assets to the bank had it been sustained, and you'd STILL prefer that?

Don't bother guys. I had a debate with him yesterday. The guy thinks he is a financial genius but I wouldn't trust him to calculate the price of a family meal at pizza hut.

His signature should be "lalala not listening!"

So because we had a debate of contrasting views means I dont listen and dont understand simple finances....?

    Great point.

You obviously don't. Your comments on this thread prove it beyond anything I could say on the subject.
