Who gives a **** what reason they came up with? Its the result most people wanted and it stops Ehab getting his deluded way, they could have suggested altitude sickness was a concern and it wouldn't have mattered.

It was certainly the result most people on here wanted.

Most people seemed to prefer a correction of the previous **** up with away fans back in north west corner and us to return to the North east.

    Those people don't count.

    It wasn't on the agenda.

not something the club considered so not relevant really
certainly most people on here wanted them to stay where they are rather than go into upper west

I'd say it's relevant. If there's SAG reasons it can't happen then it puts a different slant on future discussions.

I meant the option to move them to north west wasn't relevant in terms of the point about which option more people supported
at the time that wasn't an option, although if UW gets dismissed as an idea by Ehab then of course he might look for another option, and then that discussion will of course be relevant

Now I know there are correct procedures and processes for all things relating to safety, but why does it take so long
for an absurd idea such as this to be refused ?

Some one should have simply said to the owners months ago it breached safety rules and that's the end of the matter.

Instead we've had more forced evictions which have been completely unnecessary.

I'd still say it's relevant, over and above that, as it keeps the message clear that the revised arrangements haven't worked. If nothing else, it'll help give the decision makers more awareness when receiving "advice".

Hull City's plans to move away fans at KC Stadium rejected - and this is why

Hull City's plans to move away supporters to the upper tier of the West Stand have been rejected due to safety concerns.

City vice chairman Ehab Allam revealed at the end of last season that he was keen to trial a relocation of travelling fans away from the north-east corner, giving all of the lower bowl over to home supporters.

The northern end of the West Stand upper tier was pencilled in to house away fans under the new proposals but a meeting of the Safety Advisory Group, run by Hull City Council, has confirmed they will not be allowed to take place.

Minutes released from a meeting on July 1 say that Pete Curry, chair and Hull City Council Sports Ground Safety, was in "complete opposition" to the plans.

The tendency for away supporters to stand in seated areas was the concern outlined and that the West Stand upper tier's gradient of 34 degrees far exceeded the 25 degree limit deemed for that to be considered safe.

James Deacon of the Superstadium Management Company (SMC) admitted he could not come up with a plan for a trial to be done "safely or practically" and that expert guidance stressed that was it an "inherently unsafe practice." Representatives of Humberside Police also voiced their concerns.

City have said something like, 'we accept the decision, but may return to it in the future' or something similar.

This decision didn't come as any surprise, it had obviously been discussed in advance, but there's this bloke at City who simply won't take no for an answer...

They seem to manage elsewhere with steeper, and higher, tiers than West Stand Upper. It is a guidance isn't it. Though of course in Hull council jobsworths and the police take guidance as being laws set in stone when it suits them.

    How do they manage here?

I'm pretty sure that Boca Juniors don't have to pay any attention to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport Green Guide.

The Green Guide is indeed just guidance, but it's pretty closely adhered to (even if some places take it rather more literally than others) and it becomes legally binding once it's written into a Safety Certificate.

I didn't say they did. I said that steeper, higher, tiers don't seem to be a threat to life and limb elsewhere. Maybe people are softer and more afraid in this country nowadays. I could post clips of crowds in stadiums in the US, home of litigation, with far higher and steeper stands where they stand without anyone dying as well.
So your first sentence was an irrelevant.trying to be clever once again, waste of time.
