Man Utd are paying through nose for him, his agent gets £18m, and Pogba will get insane wages. Lesser reasons; probably wants a new challenge as well, he's done all in Italy, and every week he'll be tested in the PL. Personally I think Utd are certainly equal to Juventus in cachet, but they're having to pay for it at the moment.

I like how so many people are now saying stuff like "football is dead" because Kante left, players moving to China for the money and now this. Football died for me the summer we lost Lambert, Shaw etc. It was then that I realised that stuff doesn't really change unless something massive like a billionaire throwing money round turns up, even Leicester winning the league and getting CL football hasn't enabled them to keep their best player and now the recruitment guy. Still think Mahrez will be off at some point.

Although Walsh has left and it is probably mostly about money and promotion, you could argue that he can't better his achievement at Leicester now. They'll keep expecting miracle signings for low money and so he'll land himself in a no-win situation almost. At Everton he gets a renewed challenge. If he helps them up the table (which shouldn't be too hard ... relatively) then his CV becomes even more impressive.

Still a tough one to take for Leicester

Leicester looked doomed for a meek return to the Championship 16 months ago. Now they are champions of England, in the CL and have/will sell 2 players for at least a £60m profit on a £6 outlay. It's a bit of a reality check after the fantasy, but they can build on this. We've built success on 'loosing' players.

Leicester win the Prem. Wales reach the semis of the Euros. Iceland beat England.

Football seems pretty healthy to me. Just because some players decide that they would rather play for a bigger club than Southampton, its not the end of the world.

I drove my Chevy to the levee the day that football died. Something like that anyway.

Real and Barcelona are far bigger as loads of youngsters worldwide have switched to Barca and Real to have Neymar, Messi and Ronaldo attached to their shirts. Who have United got to compete with their riches? Kids in India just don't buy into Mata, Smalling, Rooney (any more), Schweinsteiger. So they need Pogba more than he needs United.

Good signing!! Hope he can recapture the form that made him such as standout player there during his first spell. Unfortunate time in the Euros as I thought he was by nature a midfield player in an attacking role rather than the main striker.

Needs to sort himself out though. Needs to lose about a stone and needs to eat and drink healthy. He also needs to also stop the social media videos. He has badly lost his way.

No I haven't. You or I might like what Torino offers and is compared to Manchester but I don't think many footballers are bothered about any other culture than "celeb" culture and hob nobbing with other hob nobbers.

Even our Fonte has a penchant for the glamour model. They aren't many closet ball room dancers or win oficianados. Most of the are hell raisers when single (and often when not) that like fast cars, fast women and the celeb lifestyle.

so for you or I yes, Torino vs Manchester. Its a no brainer. For a footballer it is the choice between playing for one of the top tier names in football in Juventus or the biggest of them all in Manchester Utd.
