They are still the biggest team in World football no matter what the exchange rate and turnover says. Global support and famousness. There will always be a mystique about Man Utd no matter how they are doing and they will never be out of contention for more than a couple of years.

New word. Others include plasticful and Giggtastic.

Then there are tongue in cheeky phrases for West Ham like "we won the world cup" and "The academy." They can have them if they like, I won't charge royalties.

Decent player, bit of a headless chicken pace merchant though. Any average player with Prem experience is going to fetch a similar fee.

No, but you have to admit, Ides has a point. If you talking in terms of lifestyle there is no way I'd want to upsticks and move from Juventus to ManU.

We are talking about Torino the place here. A city rich in culture and history, and known for numerous art galleries, restaurants, churches, palaces, opera houses, piazzas, parks, gardens, theatres, libraries, museums, etc... Plus, it's well known for its renaissance, baroque, rococo, neo-classical, and art nouveau architecture. This is one of those places on the planet where you evolve as a person and enrich your life. To say nothing about the reasonable climate. And you want to give that up to move to Manchester and a few extra quid.?

There are a couple of things in Manchester's favour. He knows the place and climate, so it shouldn't come as too much of a shock. And he'd only be there for as long as he wanted to be. Personally, I'm always keen for the adventure, but Juve to ManU is one I'd let pass by.

As is 90% of the stuff you see in the sporting media regarding transfer gossip. That's another one you can honestly place at the door of Rupert Murdoch. No, I didn't make that up, it's well documented.

He's already got plenty of that, I've no doubt. Somehow, I don't think he struggles to pay the bills.

Is this the Moyes who was too big a name to come to little Southampton?

Could be the best signing of the summer, or could go horribly wrong. I hope it is the former, quite like Gotze.

I think that's being overly simplistic, don't you.? The two transfers hardly bear comparison. Although I am biased towards Southampton, I wouldn't place the city amongst the elite in culture and lifestyle. China will pay Graziano so much more it's ridiculous, and upto now he's never earned the ultra ridiculous sums that footballers can earn. I suspect he can stand a couple of years in China for that. Not that I should knock China [I know very little about the area] Oh, and his contract wasn't being extended at Saints. On the other hand, Pogba is ridiculously well paid already [and I understand would have his contract improved even further if he stays with Juve] because they want him. As you can now see, we're not comparing the same eggs here.

But if Pogba does end up at ManU we'll certainly know the reason.

I came to Manchester United to improve myself as a player and I believe that I can find a place within the team and help to bring success to the club. It's a fantastic city and club, the biggest in the world, and I want to play at the highest level I possibly can. Thank you.

I came for the extra money.
