He would suit a lot of teams, that's not the issue. But we've moved on at this point, I think. Probably he has, too.

If Man U were to want to get rid of him (which I don't think is the case despite some rumors as he would be good in Mourinho's system) he would not come cheap either in terms of transfer cost or wages. We've committed to Hojbjerg in this off-season, so DM is not a position of need. If we're going to blow that amount of money there are better places to spend it.

I am struggling as to why Paul Pogba wants to up sticks and leave Juventus,where he is highly paid, playing for a team with huge skill, that wins trophies on a regular basis and located in a city with sophisticated style and taste for Manchester United (vastly inferior to Juventus and at least 4 other teams in Europe and always will be), and the greyness that hangs over the city from October to March. Something wrong somewhere.

 

Yesterday I asked my mate in the pub for an update on the two players he maintained would be signed this week. He said negotiations between the clubs and between the players, their agents and SFC are more complicated than at first thought. I don't think he knows a thing myself and like all people who claim to be ITK he is just stalling for time. He is adamant that his contact in the club has it spot on. I think it is a load of attention seeking bullshit myself.

I remember a tweet from Simon Peach saying that Liverpool had signed all players from Saints who had scored against them since we returned to the PL. Klavan had a couple of solid games for Augsburg against them in the Europa League and Wijnaldum scored against them last season when Newcastle beat them 2-0, Bogdan who they signed last season and is **** had a worldie against them in a cup game before they signed him. Perhaps this is actually the Liverpool scouting method?

Wijnaldum will go the way of loads of other Liverpool players who won't be able to handle the pressure at such a big club, he was virtually anonymous in the second half of the season when Newcastle were in trouble, obviously talented but maybe hasnt got the mental toughness to dig in when things aren't going so well.

Did naff all for Liverpool and then naff all for Fenerbahce, not sure he has what it takes to play in the prem. But, yes he's still young, although he has 3 years left on contract so will probably go on loan somewhere again if he leaves.
