Really? I can remember Capello who seemed to have all the qualities in terms of winning things with clubs. I don't remember England appointing a youngish Manager with fresh ideas. Most of them seemed to be experienced/stale PL coaches and it seems that is about to continue if either Bruce or Allardyce are appointed, Just my humble opinion.
One thing we haven't tried is charisma and genuine tactical nous and innovation - someone like Klopp. Best available is Marcelo Bielsa, who just quit Lazio before he even arrived because they have no players. Don't think he speaks English though. Whoever gets it we will judge them on results just like everyone else. Good luck to the new man.
I said successful Managets at the Euros was a good area to start looking! You don't know if a good Manager is interested until he's'approached - maybe Low is getting bored with picking his nose watching a German machine and wants the unique challenge of England. Deschamps played here and may want to come back. Have no idea what Portugal winning 2 games in normal time has to do with Santos ability to do a job for England.
Likewise. Can't say it's an inspiring appointment but let's give him a chance. Poor blokes on a hiding to nothing, he just may surprise us.
Likewise. With hindsight I'd have liked him at the Rs given the crap we've had served up since he was last linked. I hope he gets appointed is a success.
Yes, expect decent, hard-working players that fit the system to be selected ahead of the 'show-ponies'. Cresswell, Noble, Carroll and Antonio from West Ham likely to be in contention, maybe even Lee Cattermole. If they do the job who knows? The so-called stars have failed disastrously...
I suppose he has to be given a chance, at least he's not as old and out of touch as Kneecap.......He'll make England hard to beat, probably also hard to like, but if he gets rid of the prima donas and gets players who want to play for England and plays them in their correct positions he may do well....... But it does show the lack of English/British managerial talent in the country.......
Big Sam it is then ............... Good luck to him! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ermission-begin-negotiations-appointment.html please log in to view this image
I have a feeling this is exactly what we need and think we'll do better than we have in the last few tournaments.
At least we made the last tournaments convincingly. This sort of 2nd rate appointment looks like the FA are expecting play off struggles to qualify at all.
