Allen off to Stoke 13 million http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/swansea-city-set-miss-out-11643320
He was supposed to be one of our main targets this transfer window? I really wonder sometimes about our negotiating skills, oh well big fan fare tomorrow over something and nothing in the boardroom. .....
Well - if we do want Joe, we have to at least match Stoke's offer and hope Joe prefers the Gower to the Potteries
Our board are a bunch of tight fisted, penny pinching twats. We should have had a deal tied up as soon as the season ended. It's obvious that Joe is Leon's natural long term successor. There's nobody else out there that can do what Leon/Joe will give our club/team/squad. Instead, we sign a ****ing goalkeeper. I'm bloody livid
Huw is becoming more of a hindrance now and not just this season either.....I have lost count of how many of our targets we have lost and then he goes all out for a player from West ham who has only managed 8 goals in a season and a half which is far worse than goal shy Gomis......Its time now to step aside to stop this happening and employ someone with some guts and determination and not in a lower league mode.....
They want a sustainable PL club - as well as a club in Chinese Super League - so I suspect they may be less prudent....
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...ine-up-a-25-million-bid-for-gylfi-sigurdsson/ It's starting!!! I hope this is bullshit!
Normally I would say great money but Siggy is " The stick that stirs the drink " to our limited attack . Time to buy , not sell . The new owners need to start spending to not only holding our players in check but to expand our attack capabilities . Nobody ( except maybe Gomis ) leaves and a few attacking players in ( at least one striker ) . This transfer window will speak volumes about our new owners IMO .
In the current financial barmyness I would value him at £40m as to get someone of equal calibre we would need to spend that
I cant understand why you think this is a surprise. He is a player that in my eyes would we wanted by a few clubs and with Everton on a major rebuild with new owners after a number of poor seasons by their standards looks an ideal club to join. £25m is a great deal and i expect Gylfi will jump at the chance and will tell Huw he wants to go......I have been expecting this and Ayew will be gone also before the start of the season imo.
I don't want to see him go and when you see what other, lesser in my eyes players, are going for, £40 million should be the minimum.
