I think the Nigerian international Kanu was a class player and finisher better than Bellamy. Oops sorry I misunderstood you're talking about Robson-Kanu
Interesting that Stoke offered £7m for Ki, but the Swans increased the price http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...verpool-midfielder-joe-allen-with-13-million/
Hopefully the yanks will relegate Huw to a minor board member and put someone else with more ambition and better vision as chairman.......one can only hope...
Well maybe they knew we were in for Joe and thought KI would be surplus? And after being kicked back by us, decided to play hardball and go all out for our prime target. I have to say they have now got a great talent for their midfield, who will drive the new Stoke forward with energy. We are so crap these last few seasons in the transfer market, it's almost becoming a bloody joke........
Which, if true, is piss poor planning by Huw and the current board. Should have tied everything up before the window opened.
I don't get this "too rich for us" mentality.... Even tiny Bournemouth have beaten our most expensive signing by signing Ibe. It's not just the management that have lower league mentality.
It may be painful to our Board, but just get the cheque book out and sign the f*****g thing. Stop jerking around.
Sorry , 13 million is to much ... Especially in a position we are heavy in .Good luck to him if he ends up there . Time to move on to positions we are lighter in . I realize I'm probably alone in my thoughts on Allen but ....
If we dont get in there with a better bid than was accepted by Liverpool now we never will while jenkins is calling the shots......Jinx should be outside Liverpool's door at 8am this morning with his cheque book in hand....Should he let joe go then i hope the yanks replace him as he is detrimental to our survival and our future.....
Not really . why pay that sort of money for a player as good as he can be we don't particularly need right now .We're over loaded with wingers and midfield players but lacking a striker now unless thats sorted soon than buying Joe becomes a waste of money which could be well spent elsewhere.
Why buy Joe ? Well for one we know he can play our type of football unlike a new face who we dont, and two he is a natural replacement for Leon and three he is a snip at that price knowing he will slot straight in to the side and four we know what a good player he is and he is a local lad.....It will be madness to let Joe slip through the net because we have a chairman who has not reached the premiership yet like the rest of us....
