An improvement on Hodgson I think, and about the best we can do right now.

Agree when people talk about us needing our identity back - England don't do technical football well, we need to get back to what we are.

I just hope we can improve even a little bit, and have the capability to win a knock-out game again. Small steps.

Good for us, and good for England. BFS won't take any **** off our primadonnas, not afraid to kick them up their arses. I'm quite excited to see how he does tbh.

Plus, that's Sunderland ****ed, which is hugely brilliant news.

I think you probably do SA a bit of an injustice. Working a limited budgets at clubs like Bolton Blackburn WHU he would be limited in the types of player he could go for.

Look beyond Carroll and think about players like Djorkaeff, Anelka, Jardel, Defoe, Downing, DIAME, and of course the fabulous JJ.Give him quality to use and you may just be surprised.

Much that I dislike Kevin Nolan, interesting that he should say the SA makes you feel like world beaters. Maybe that's what some of the current pampered twats that play for England need, and not to be allowed to walk over various managers. He also has the ability to change formations to suit games.

And yet he was the one English manager at the forefront of statistical analysis of players, dietary requirements - way back when he was at Bolton.

My official sauce* tells me that Bruce has been allowed £9-99 to buy a crepe bandage from Boots, for Michael Dawsons knee. There are however various confidentiality clauses and NDAs surrounding the purchase, so Bruce has been told only to buy it in 6 weeks and 1 day, when MD may have recovered.

Agree about Bruce. For me SA was always in front of him. Bruce is probably too nice/pally, and dare I say it, may have been found out with often having no Plan B.

Still I hope the fella does stay with us, otherwise we'll be even further down the creek without a paddle if he goes.
