Does anyone else actually think Joey Barton maybe a decent signing?

People claiming Barton isn't a good player mustn't have seen him play. In my opinion he is a decent player and would improve our midfield definitely.

Though on the basis of him being an absolute ****, I wouldn't have him anywhere near our club. Not in a million years.

Barton's actually not a bad player and to be honest he'd probably do well at OT. However one major problem, he's a prick. Too much baggage and too big an ego. We've enough problems with Morrison at the moment.

Who would win a fight, Joey Barton or Steven Gerrard?

One reporter on Sky Sports News has just claimed 6 Premier League clubs are in for Barton and 2 of them are in the Champions League. No mention of Chelsea in for Barton all summer so is it Arsenal and United who have been mentioned alongside his name...

If he did sign and Fergie controlled the idiotic side of him he would be a good player, wouldn't want to risk it though.

What are you crying for you sad ****? Is he your mate or something? Why you so offended?

People are saying he is a decent player and would improve our midfield. However he is such a ****er I would rather him rot in jail than play for United.

That'd be a good one. Rafael da Silva vs Andy Carroll. Mandy's got size, but Rafa is unpredictable.

I reckon a one year deal would be very, very good business for you.

IMO he's better than what you've got and you could save the cash for a bigger deal in Jan or next summer.

I actually think he would add a bit of bite to midfield which it needs.. My concern is that he would perhaps upset the balance of the squad an cause ructions within it.. It doesn't bother me he is a hot head on the pitch an may get sent off as we have always had players like that.

But on footballing ability alone then he would be a good addition..

That's a tough one, my money would be on Barton unless Gerrard was allowed to hide behind his mates again :emoticon-0110-tongu

His passing is very under-rated. I'd say that he's more accurate than Anderson from a deep position.
