People not turning up is a deflection. The tickets are all sold. I suggest reading what people write before going off on a tangent.I didn't say every game against Leicester will be a sell out, though many will. I said that you would expect a sell out, especially of a smaller ground, for an opening game against the reigning champions. And especially at a club which had just one promotion. Compare the situation for the first game following promotion against Fulham. All season passes, 20,500 sold by 6th June so only 2,500 tickets available, which were immediately snapped up. Now a 20,000 crowd against the reigning champions will be considered an achievement (and a near capacity crowd by some idiots and enough to keep them happy). Not even the most fervent Allam admirer could make a case for this being progress, successful handling of the club, an example of their marketing genius or anything positive at all.
I'm pretty certain no one has said there's anything positive at all about our club in recent times. Fervent or otherwise.
I didn't say it makes us look small time. Though it must do as that came into your mind after reading the reality of the situation. So so it seems the Allams have indeed made us look small time.
It's a pathetic amount really and that's all down to the club , when was the last time we sold less than this ?
I doubt it will be a significant number, particularly as the first payment has now been taken, but I'm sure there's been some.
Lazio, whose fans are in discord with their owners have bought a grand total of 11 (eleven0 season tickets for this coming season!!!!!! Jees.... the Allams must be saints in comparison...
They've been protesting for years about Lotito and it's just gone further over the Bielsa balls-up. And it was the first day of sales.
And look how many are on the streets protesting: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/lazio-sell-just-11-season-8451283
