The local media can't really do much, they've (RH and the HDM) been battering the club trying to get something and they've got nothing. The interview on the Burnsy show this morning was as good as they were going to get. The sources they have are pretty reputable and they only pass on the info they have, they can't really be blamed for not having anything to report when they aren't being told much themselves.

I 100% agree with your first 7 words. They have proved that much!

It's not about not having anything to report. It's about using their powers to do something publicly that questions what the hell is happening to our club, that asks all the sort of questions that are in their readerships / listeners minds regarding the club, rather than just staying silent and fence sitting. Burnsie last night was the nearest they've got to coming off the fence and starting to question what the hell is going on. Far too little and far too late. Our club is already now a basket case. Our local media have failed us big style ... but never mind, they managed not to upset the Allams and so have managed to maintain the great relationship they have with them which brings them all sorts of benefit, like, err ,umm, err, well. They should be ripping them to ****.

They aren't allowed to 'rip them to ****', any media outlet run by the BBC (and therefore it's employees) must be seen to remain impartial. Burns can't come out and say it's a disgrace or hammer the owners otherwise he loses any chance he has of getting into the club and interviewing people. He can give his opinion, sure, but he can't take decisive action on the part of the fans because RH have to remain unbiased. It's the same with the HDM, they can't just rip into the club, that's not how journalism works.

If you're waiting for some sort of Paxman-esque question time with the owners where somebody from RH or the HDM tears into Allam then I hope you've brought a good book to read. Burns isn't to blame for anything vis a vie the communication from the club, he reports what he gets told. If it turns out to be false or wrong then how is it his problem? He gets told it and he reports it to us, you'd be mega pissed off if he didn't and he isn't going to start making things up to fill airtime/column inches. The club aren't saying anything at the moment, therefore there's nothing to report. They aren't taking interviews or answering questions, so what exactly are you wanting the media to do or say given everything I just said?

I understand your frustration, I really do, but hammering the local media for not reporting anything when they themselves aren't getting any news isn't really fair. You'd have just as much luck ringing the club and asking yourself, you'll be told the exact same thing.

I wouldn't get too worked up about it, Driff bangs this drum all the time on CI.

He seems to think Burns and Buckingham should be Woodward and Bernstein, it's obviously completely unrealistic.

It's no trouble at all. It's easy to get frustrated but I'm not having blame placed where it's not needed, especially against the seemingly few people around here actually doing their job properly.

    I'm not sure yet
I certainly won't be joining this scheme as it is so unless its changed I'll be considering whether to get a match ticket only. (obviously I have no idea how to actually do that or how much one would cost if I did know how )

To be honest I'm more likely to go so I have the opportunity to protest in the ground against the scheme and the stealth rebranding than for any other reason

    I'm torn.

Imo the best protest would be in the ground.

But I don't want to support the membership scheme.

But I want to support my team.

    So atm, **** knows.

Whatever anyone decides to do should be down to the individual and not open to criticism, unless you're one of the dwindling number of Allam apologists.

No idea whether I'll be there or not.

At the moment, I haven't joined the membership scheme and have no intention of giving those bastards another penny of my hard earned money.

If there is some sort of in ground protest organised, I may change my mind though.

Ok Doug, as far as I'm aware two or three protests that are being planned - a ''wave the soles of your shoes at the empty directors box'' is certainly a front runner, the boards resident knobber (take a bow Patty) has offered to make the ultimate sacrifice via an act of self-immolation in the centre circle, just as Steve Jordan is introducing the stands to the Leicester fans ..... it won't be pretty, but I'm guessing with the new pricing structure there won't be many kids there to witness it.

Having seen dementia up close in my family (now there's something I might have to look forward to!) much of AA's behaviour fits the pattern - the irrational outbursts, the confused speech, the inability to see any point of view not his own are all common symptoms. Of course, I could be wrong and he's simply a f***wit who got lucky flogging generators.....

Doing it that way you will probably get one of the better seats, as a lot of the ones sign up will be sat in the corners.

Yes i was 100% NOT going to go But the two juniors wanted to go ... It will be the 5th season for them of watching Hull City.
Youngest is really looking foward to the season starting and going to away games.

    I have also renewed.

main reason to get away tickets as no way can they go to away games on there own.

I also think i have to be in the ground to protest.

    Feel a twat really .

If it was just about me i would not have joined the scheme but taking the juniors is one hell of a posative to me.

    We are in N5.

Yes i am a ****er and a traitor
