He's there to cater for a wide audience. The kids seem to enjoy his style - whilst the older generation (not all) do not.

Brian Cole was sacked in Oct 2004. If you Google him you'll find threads on CL berating BDL for his annoying attempts to over-dramatise kick-off etc. He was certainly pretty unpopular then and his style didn't change over the years. One post put it perfectly, his attempts to wind up the crowd did the exact opposite, they dampened it down. The best thing he did was his leaving statement, which I thoroughly enjoyed and earned him redemption IMO.
He'll be very busy, what with joining/ the protests thenrushing off to Ebbsfleet to roar on his new team.
