Anyone listen apart from Lambo who texted in? Even the most fervent Allam apologists need to review their stance.
It does amaze me that it has taken this long for some people to come round. For me, it was the moment they spat their dummy about the KC and were pictured on the front of the HDM, In Melton, with phoney plans. Some were well ahead of me in the game.
I was a little surprised that Geoff went into that much detail. Basically, after the deal was agreed, Assem decided he wasn't going to include the SMC and if the Americans wanted that as well, they'd have to pay another £6m. Obviously, the offer they'd agreed already included it, so that's when they decided they'd been jerked around once too often and they walked.
No, the SMC is owned by Allamhouse, the same as the club, nobody is going to buy one without the other.
Mental...Imagine having to deal with these clowns on a daily basis! You'd have to pay me £6m to do that!
It now makes sense. The SMC was always the key. The Americans would develop the site and anything else the council offered to subsidise the football club. They would do so without any problem with Brady or Geraghty. The development would be successful and as a consequence make the Allams look small-minded, petty and spiteful. In fact it would be a massive loss of face and they wouldn't like that. Assem Allam keeps the club and his vendetta against the Council can continue.
I didnt know that. Was it originally like that? I'm pretty sure - but might be wrong - that when it was first set up the council appointed Adam to head it up and he was essentially an employee of theirs in that role.
It's interesting that these details are getting out in such, well detailed, manner to people who are willing to speak on the radio. It does have the look of a deliberate leak from potential interested parties to discredit the Allams. Good.
