Stolen from Twitter but best solution is to have a referendum and whomever wants Trident the most should house it.

    Stupid decision to renew...

£31bn - what could that fund?

    A great NHS?

    An amazing school system?

A roof and sun lamp over Scotland?

All so we can launch an attack - mutually assured destruction.

I'm not against them exactly but I think if England or NI want to keep them so badly they should hold the bag

The nuclear arms sales team were recruited from Carphone warehouse.
They tell you that the old model is out dated and uncool so you need to splash out big money on the latest thing.
Knowing full well we will never use the stupid things, we signed up to NATO so America will blow people up for us we don't need our own "deterrent ".
It's like building a guillotine for your garden just in case a Zombie apocalypse kicks off.
Very costly and pointless and they can quote any figure now like £31 billion then by the time it gets built it will be £50 billion and we will need new subs to carry the payload.
Massive ****ing scam to make idiots like Dev with a tiny cock feel important or safe.

A good analogy. To take it a stage further maybe our defence should be equated to my £9.99 Samsung. There are loads of unused concrete pillboxes around here. Each could have a detachment of volunteers to man them. I bagsy

If someone nukes Europe or the UK we are all ****ed and it won't give me much satisfaction knowing we would inflict the same end to other poor souls.
As I said before we are members of NATO and they decide who we annihilate.
Us having a nuke will make no difference.

Trident is only supported by people that work in the arms industry and patriotic/ex-army *****s/Falklands occupation supporters.

    It's ****ing pointless.

Kill the project asap and kick everyone in the balls that was for it <ok>

If we didn't have nukes then aren't we more likely to get nuked because the deterrent of "mutually assured destruction" has been removed from the equation?

Just throwin that out there <whistle>

Havin them but pretending you don't is the same as not havin them - no deterrent of mutually assured annihilation.
