The question must be asked. Selling the club for a tidy profit is a no brainer after the abuse they have recieved, and the hate towards them. I felt sorry for them at the FA Cup final, after all they had invested, they did not deserve the chants etc etc. However now its toxic and the value of the club will never be any higher than it is now, so sell up. The question then must be asked is does this American consortium actually have any money, and if they had offered 100 million upfront in cash I dare say we'd have new owners? Something to think about.

They got what they wanted- photographed in the Royal Box, match result was far less important. These are the people whose spitefulness denied fans the chance to welcome them back and thank them on what was a historic occasion for the city, the highest achievement it's ever had. But no. It's my toy. I'm sulking, so no one else is allowed to be happy. Their 'investment' was described as a gift to the city, but was in fact a lucrative earner for them and a source of undreamt of prestige and importance for father and son, particularly the son. They seem ruthless, bullying, selfish, vain and spiteful to me. Donations to charity? Yeah, can't be separated entirely from the wish for recognition and gratitude, or using it as a lever for influence (see manipulation of Milliband).
I don't know much about the past they had with the ship building industry in the city but I heard its not pretty. I am not defending what they have done, and my anger at the final was not the fact they recieved the abuse, but the fact the fans would rather be contreversial at the time rather than getting behind the team. All thats changed now, and they deserve most of the abuse and protesting they get.
The final word from someone who has already signed up to the membership scheme, therefore supporting the people who who are perpeptuating this farce.
Some incredible posts on here. Mr Shoes still repeating the exact same post about everyone else's posts being pointless. He cant have done anything else for the last three weeks. Plenty of those apologist I'm not defending them but...' type posts. Dotty asking other people to be 100% honest! ****ing joker. A few of those 'well it's not illegal' posts too. So often over the last few years, the best defence people can put up in support of the Allams is to say that whatever their latest outrage is technically isn't illegal. Says a lot. Mind you even when they do blatantly violate clear and explicit rules such as those on concessions no one has the balls to do anything about it. The club's just ****ed, the fanbase is still in an awful state and the Allams just won't let go of their grip over us all. Still, as long as no one says any mean things about them or protests against whatever the next farce is, that's the main thing.
