If he goes and plays against us next season,I guarantee he will not last ten minutes, hit him hard once and he goes missing.

Mahrez is a talent that is still learning.

People need to remember our journey

Schmeichel, Morgan, Drinkwater, King, Mahrez and Vardy have only spent 2 season in the top league

To expect the finished article now just isnt going to happen

Kante is a Leicester Legend and will go down as a English football hero for what he did here

But when people look back on this season in 10,20,30 years the players most remember will be the talismen. Vardy and Mahrez

As mad as its seems if given the choice between keeping Kante and Drinkwater I would have kept Drinky

Drinky, Vardy, Morgan, King, Schmeichel, Schlupp and Mahrez its just another chapter in the story at our club

Championship champions, great escape, Premier League Champions

Kante like Cambiasso will go down as a 1 season wonder but will go down as a legend regardless

Are you just trying to convince yourself that to let the pain of losing him easier (not that I think he will leave, he doesn't have a release clause and you guys will be asking way too much).

    The guy is ****ing class

I've said before that Mahrez lacks that bit of fight and competitiveness that makes a very good player. Agree that Gray looks a good prospect and a harder worker.

As a number 10 Mahrez can cause problems and open defences up but, as you say, he drifts out of games too often hence him getting shipped off to the bench in so many games.

Cant see Mahrez having the same amount of success if he moves ( same goes for Vardy). Kante is different and should be alright but I think he may struggle to get a game in the Champions League.

.. let's not over react guys ... in an interview yesterday Ranieri described Mahrez as being "serene" at training ... the lad has 3 years of his current deal to run with no release clause ... all we need to do is insist he sees his contract through .. we really don't need to sell him.

Mahrez is utter class and anyone who tries to convince otherwise is wrong. 'Goes missing'? The lad won player of the year and was the biggest goals and assist machine in the entire league - not touching the ball for 3 minutes in the 27th game if the season is irrelevant. By the same logic Morgan also goes missing every time we don't have the ball.

I get the feeling that we are all hurting just a bit by the nature of the exit of one of our star performers .. nothing wrong with that ... it is part of being a football supporter ... it does feel a bit of a betrayal and it's easy for such feelings to cloud over just what the little man did ... he was undoubtedly 100% committed to us in every game he played ... in time I'll recognise that even more and won't be quite as angry as I feel towards him currently ..

On Riyad Mahrez .. he is being tried and convicted without any evidence or even a trial .. and I suspect that is partly becuase the thought of losing another star performer is too much to contemplate ...

... but as I said ... he has not asked for a transfer or said he is unhappy in any way ... if he doesn't wish to extend his current contract, fair enough ... but I still hope that he might ... if not he has 3 years t serve unless we decide otherwise ... we have no reason to sell him....

.. but make no mistake, the lad is the most penemoneably gifted footballer to have ever pulled on a Leicester City shirt (certainly in my lifetime) .. let's just enjoy him while we can because he is undoubtedly going to end up at one of the Spanish giants in years to come ...

Dropping your aitches FF? Surely you must have watched Ian Ormondroyd during your time - he was so clever on the ball he hadnt got a fookin clue what was going to happen next. Kante has gone, wouldnt mind lemina coming in from Juve.

Riyad the most gifted footballer to wear the Leicester shirt? I think someone is forgetting a certain Mr Taylor-Fletcher...!

    Mahrez latest

Rob Tanner has said Mahrez hasnt turned down a new contract or asked to leave

John Percy has said the club is still condident that he is staying and Mahrez has gave no indication he wont sign a new deal. If anyone does want to buy him the negotiations start at £45M

Right. I ain't or ever was a professional footballer but what l don't get is why do they take so long to sign a new contract IF they're Supposed to be happy at a club ? He's got the world at his feet at LCFC, sign FFS.

Put it this way. If no one pays £45-50M for Mahrez then he stays for another year at least

    Does he

    A) refuse to sign a contract with 3 years left stuck on £35K a week and no release clause

    B) sign the contract, get the pay rise and possible get a release clause put in which allows him to move on should someone make the club a good offer in a years time
