Likewise. 100%. For a while it looked all nice and rosy and people were getting to know people on and off the board more than ever. I'd now rather not put personal **** up at all as it comes back to haunt you in one way or another. Mortified that I've put personal information and pictures of my dearest and me up here.

That said it's good that some meet up and get along. Just not for me in the slightest. Happy thinking of everyone here as some weird software that lives in my computer.

The best way, that way you can alter and erase the programme.

What I was saying is that it's all too easy to post racist & personal insults without considering that it might genuinely upset people.

If it attracts a few laughs, and no one wants to argue the point, they sit back and think it's great and they've got away with it.

But if people are upset by the comments it's all too easy to bang off an apology and brush it under the carpet.

"Yeah sorry lads, I was blind drunk and I'm being the big man now by apologising so that makes me the good guy."

In my experience people tend to say what they really think, after a few, so my point is that they should have the courage to stand by it.

It's obvious that Billy, and some other people, are racists and that's their personal choice.

That's fair enough but they should stick by what they believe and not trot out the sad old 'it was the beer's fault' routine.

    Bollocks.
    You're missing the point.
I said in the op that it was also pent up anger & frustration at these Muslim terrorist groups striking with impunity & total disregard for innocent people, many of them their own & the world can't do **** all about it.

It could be anywhere - Metro Centre, Old Trafford, Wembley.
Anyway, have a nice day. <ok>

What a load of soft **** I'm hearing on here :emoticon-0119-puke:.

Billy doesn't have to reign anything in, it's good to know a **** for a ****.....but all this he's a great lad bollocks..he's a **** who tried to hide behind the universal excuse of being a bit drunk....and not for the first time.

If he met her he would be a gentleman, but in his head he would have given her a good seeing to. What a low life ****, yet your all mates <rofl>.

Who's generalising now? I assure you that statement is not true. As much as billy hasn't wronged me personally we're not mates and never will be. I don't associate with people who say things like that.

Sure you're noticing it's like getting blood out of stone on here though. You're showing your frustration which I understand. I'd just give the thread a wide birth if I were you. Cool if you stuck around other threads though. I enjoy your posts on the PL board.

It's always been there? From the day the site started.

Jesus, I've probably got Stockholm syndrome then.

I know you love Billy, in a gay way and a non-gay way, both, either/or, depending on how tipsy you're feeling.

Cheers Bri, I actually find this board one of the most interesting to frequent. A lot of straight up talk. There's a few I've had a run in with, however over time they are the same people I have found a respectable middle ground with.

    Roll on the new season.

It's a great board. All walks of life which is why they're many clashes and many laughs to be had. It's just when things get personal I don't like, things like comments regarding spouses and what not. Unfortunately there's few who have form and can't help themselves whether it be drink or getting out the wrong side of the bed. We had closeness to this board at one point, many of us were meeting at games, sharing pictures and sharing a lot of personal information and what not. All that trust has been blown for various reasons mainly, spitefull people using that information against others so unfortunately it's not what it was and never will be again. But still a great board. The contrast in personalities is needed, it's just some daft knackers not knowing the line.

Ha im indifferent on this one.

I admit i think the world of Billy. To me it was nothing more than a passing thing. Even acknowledging Blunham has a great looking woman. A compliment as to speak. So it was worded badly. Ffs.

I see what smug is saying. We are not perfect. None of us. A few beers does bring out truths. Be it whatever. None of us are perfect. Many a rascist comment doesnt bat an eye.

A big ho ha over nowt imo.

So I'd like to clarify on my post yesterday.

My reaction wasn't about racism or religion. It was about my wife.

I was pretty well pissed off all weekend and you regular guys would've known why.

I deleted Billy's post and edited Tel's replying post because Billy's post was inset. I didn't want the comments about my wife on the forum.

I reacted to Smug's post probably whilst still in the same frame of mind.

Smug contacted me immediately, and did so again today off-line. Not going into detail, but we're cool. Totally!

Like I said in that last post, Billy apologised about his comments about my wife, and I accept his apology. This thread, and subsequent posts tells me he's genuinely sorry.

I also just want to say thank you to all of the pm's I received last night, as well as the online posts. I didn't reply to you all by pm but they were appreciated and I'm doing so here.

There's some really REALLY good guys on here!!!

From now on though, maybe no more comments about family would be a good yardstick from now on.

Just to add, Smug, <ok> thank you.
