The odds arnt great for a lot of sides, what are they odds to stay up? Could be worth a very brave bet......
We're $3 to be top of Burnley, Boro and us which might be worth a punt, though Boro at 2.10 is best value surely; we're 1.72 to avoid relegation; still $2 to go down. Better than bank interest!
You forgot to add the owner was in hospital for surgery and close to death, according to some reports on here.
I think the best we can hope for now is instant relegation, or for the club to be put in such a situation that they have to sell. Whatever that situation is so be it.
How very sad & to think a ball hasn't even been kicked in anger yet in the PL If you're Allam, a £30M profit is a godsend considering where we were not so long ago.. greed has surely kicked in
I wished we hadn't gone up in the first place, but we are where we are Hope they sell, but don't think they will this season at least Now we're in the PL I'd rather stay in it, just, on balance...but football has changed too much its not exactly a thrilling prospect
To be honest I'd rather them go than any other thing. League position, attendance, etc is all irrelevant to me now, I just want them gone. I would rather be watching City play non league with them gone than watch us in the premier league with them still in charge.
Due to Brexit the £ is at a 30 year low on the US$ = if deal done in $ makes it a less of a good deal for the sellers, than it was one month ago...
Then the seller can demand the relatively same amount in pounds, which would not cost the buyer any extra.
You sure... On the eve of Brexit the £ was about $1.50 =£1 now it is $1.32 = £1 A falling £ makes UK exports cheaper to foreign buyers ie British seller don't get as much back..
If the buyer was converting US$ to £ to buy the club then it would be cheaper for the buyer. You're not suggesting the Allams increased the £ price to reflect this are you ?
So they could ask for more. And as the USD now buys more.. I haven't done the maths but I think it could work out similar.
